Last Updated: 2024/11/06, Fox is internationally recognized as one of the precious fur animals, which is raised in many countries in the world. It belongs to carnivorous monogastric animals and needs to prepare feed according to nutritional needs and feeding standards as well as local feed conditions. At the same time, attention should be paid to the complementary effects and physical and chemical properties of various feed proteins in order to improve the nutritional value and utilization rate of feed. You can also use fish meal.

Fox is internationally recognized as one of the precious fur animals, many countries in the world have breeding. It belongs to carnivorous monogastric animals, and feed needs to be formulated according to nutritional needs and feeding standards as well as local feed conditions. At the same time, attention should be paid to the complementary effect and physical and chemical properties of various feed proteins to improve the nutritional value and utilization rate of feed.

(i) Fox diet

1. Animal feed: including all kinds of small fish, livestock and poultry, all kinds of wild animals, such as rats,@#@254@#@,@#@261 @#@, frogs, etc. Fish meal, meat and bone meal, blood meal, silkworm chrysalis powder and other dry animal feed can also be used. Animal feed generally accounts for 45% to 65% of the diet. Fresh meat, livestock waste can be directly fed after washing and crushing; fish feed, fish with more protein mucus on the body surface (such as@#@237 @#@), should be soaked in hot water to remove mucus, dried fish should be soaked for desalination, washed and crushed before feeding; silkworm pupa processing should be thoroughly soaked to remove residual alkali, cooked and crushed together with meat and fish for feeding; earthworms dug out from the soil and raised in clean water for 1~2 days. Wait for its discharge digestion cavity in the soil, then wash with water, cooked minced feeding.

Plant feed: including all kinds of grain and oil crops and by-products. Such as corn flour, sorghum flour, soybean flour, wheat bran, soybean cake, peanut cake, cottonseed cake and so on. There are all kinds of vegetables, fruits, vegetables and so on. General grain feed accounts for 35% to 50% of the diet. Fruits and vegetables account for 5% to 10%. Grain feed corn flour, wheat bran, bean cake, etc. are mixed in proportion and put into a pot, which should be fully cooked, heated to 100℃ and kept for 5 minutes before feeding. Fruits and vegetables should be washed and fed raw.

3, additive feed: (1) vitamin feed. Use more cod liver oil, yeast, malt, cottonseed oil and so on. Cod liver oil is a major source of vitamin A and vitamin D. Feed cod liver oil 800~1000 IU per day. The feeding method is to drop cod liver oil into the food basin after eating. If there is liver and fish feeding all year round, there is no need to give cod liver oil.@#@ 245@#@bud is rich in vitamin E, and does not contain minerals phosphorus, calcium, manganese and a small amount of iron, fox breeding period is indispensable feed. Breeding foxes need adequate vitamin C during pregnancy and lactation, which mainly comes from vegetables. If vitamin C is deficient, the mortality rate of young foxes is high. (2)Mineral supplements feed. Mainly calcium, phosphorus and sodium chloride, if calcium, phosphorus deficiency, juvenile foxes stunted development, susceptible to rickets. Therefore, it needs to be supplied with bone meal and salt all the year round. Especially in the breeding season, it is more important for female foxes and breeding foxes. Generally, each fox needs 10~15 grams of bone meal per day. Salt is necessary for animals to maintain normal physiological activities, generally 2~3 grams per day, if the diet to sea fish as the main feed, in the diet without salt or less salt. (3)Antibiotics added to feed. Mainly oxytetracycline made of antibiotics, it can play a role in inhibiting microorganisms and preventing some diseases, but also promote growth and improve the survival rate of young foxes.

(ii) The ration ratio of foxes

There are two main methods of fox ration, namely calorie ratio and weight ratio. When preparing, the feed must be guaranteed to be complete and fresh.

1, heat ratio method: this method is based on heat energy to calculate. First determine the proportion of heat energy occupied by various feeds in 0.42 MJ heat energy and the corresponding feed weight. Then calculate the total supply quantity according to the total heat energy standard of the ration, and finally calculate the protein supply quantity. For trace additive feed with no energy value or low energy value, it can be omitted and only calculated according to the number of feeds.

Weight ratio method: This method is calculated according to the weight of the feed. That is, first determine the percentage of all kinds of feed in the weight of the whole diet, then calculate the supply of all kinds of feed, and finally calculate the protein content in the diet to check the feasibility of the diet. This method is easy to master and suitable for use in production fields and professional households because of its simple calculation.

It should be noted that there is no essential difference between the two methods. Practice proves that the two methods can be converted to each other. The conversion ratio is roughly: when the animal feed calorie method is 1, the weight method is 0.8; when the grain feed calorie method is 1, the weight method is 0.5; when the fruit and vegetable feed calorie method is 1, the weight method is 0.4.
