Brief introduction of new pear strain 4MULY20

The new pear strain 4Mel 20 is a new early maturing pear line bred by using Xizilu as female parent and Cuiguan as male parent. After three years of fruit and character observation of female parent tree and high grafted tree, the agronomic characters of this strain are stable.

The strain has strong growth potential, erect tree posture, large and thick leaves, easy flower bud formation, complete flower bud and large amount of pollen. The fruit matured early and matured around July 20 in Hangzhou. The average fruit weight is about 250g, the fruit is uniform, the fruit is round or tall, the pericarp is light green, the fruit spot is large, the distribution is sparse and the bottom is dense, the sepals fall off, some fruits are prismatic, the fruit noodles are few, the appearance is good, the fruit is fleshy and crisp, the juice is very rich, the soluble solids are 10.5%, 12%, and the quality is good. Bagged fruit, the color is more consistent, covered with black double bags, the fruit is milky white, the fruit spot is more obvious. With waxy yellow double bags, the fruit is light green and the skin color is prettier than Cuiguan. It is a better early-maturing pear variety.
