Yangge No.1
Yangge No. 1 is a precocious hybrid purple eggplant bred by Yangzhou vegetable Research Institute and other units. Since it has been popularized in Jiangsu, Shandong, Anhui and other places, it has been deeply loved by the majority of users because of its early maturity, high output, good commodity and other advantages. The variety has a compact plant type, about 55 cm in development, 90 cm in height, short internodes, 10-leaf flowering and fruit setting, high fruit setting rate at low temperature, and suitable for early ripening and close planting. There are 12-13 fruits per plant, and as many as 18-20. Fruit length 35-40 cm, horizontal diameter 4.5 cm, eggplant dark purple, glossy, good appearance. The average spring yield is 4000-5000 kg per mu.
In the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River, seedlings are generally sown from September to October and transplanted in the greenhouse from February to March the following year. Apply sufficient base fertilizer in the field to avoid continuous cropping, plant spacing 40 cm, row spacing 55-60 cm, about 3000 basic seedlings per mu. The twigs and old leaves under the door eggplant should be removed before the door eggplant is harvested. After harvesting eggplant, it is necessary to maintain field humidity, apply water and fertilizer frequently, and use 0.3-0.5% potassium dihydrogen phosphate plus a little urea for extra-root topdressing combined with pest control. The fruit setting rate can be increased by using anti-falling element at low temperature in the early stage.

It passed the approval of crop varieties in Beijing in 1995. Characteristics: fast plant growth, robust and tidy, no tillers, plant height 70-90 cm, hypertrophy of leaves, long petiole, solid, thick, crisp texture, less fiber, good quality.
