Jinnan winter celery

Variety source: also known as Jinnan Shiqin 2, Tianjin Jinnan District Shuanggang Township Agricultural Science Station and Hongcheng celery Research Institute were selected from the hybrid offspring of Jinnan Shiqin and American celery. It passed the approval of crop varieties in Tianjin in 1995. Characteristics: the variety belongs to the yellow-green variety type, pinnately compound leaves, leaflets larger, green, leaf sawtooth. The root system is developed and the growth rate is fast. The weight of single plant is 0.6 kg and the plant height is about 90 cm. Petiole 60 cm long, yellowish green, solid, semicircular cross section, smooth, fresh and tender quality. The seedlings with four leaves could endure the low temperature of-10 ℃ for a short time, and the plants could recover gradually with the increase of temperature when the low temperature was about 0 ℃ in the middle and later stage of growth. At suitable temperature, the solid heart rate of petiole is more than 95%. At low temperature of 5-10 ℃ for a long time in winter, the heart rate of bran was more than 20% lower than that of Jinnan celery and Italian parsley, which was close to that of American celery. It has few branches, late bolting, long harvest time, and strong resistance to spot blight and virus. Cultivation points: it is suitable for cultivation in solar greenhouse in winter, and can also be cultivated in large, small and medium-sized sheds or open field. The fixed row spacing is 10 cm X 20 cm, and 40,000 seedlings are planted per mu.
