Regulation of water layer in different growth periods of shallow lotus root
The suitable water level of shallow water lotus is 10~20 cm, and the maximum water resistance depth is 50 cm. The cultivation must adjust the water layer according to the different growth stages of shallow water lotus.
The general principle of shallow water layer management is shallow, middle deep and shallow. After planting lotus root, keep 4~7 cm shallow water layer when standing leaves appear, so as to improve soil temperature and promote germination. As the stems and leaves grow and flourish, the water layer gradually deepens to 12~15 cm. After the terminal leaves appear, the plants begin to lotus, and the water layer gradually decreases to 4~7 cm deep to promote lotus formation.
In the early stage of lotus root growth in shallow water, weeds such as Potamogeton cristatum, ox felt, dwarf arrowhead, Trigonium strigonium, etc. in the field, as well as Azolla tetraphylla and Hydrilla, will affect the growth of lotus root and should be removed in time. When lotus root leaves stand 30 cm above water surface, mix 50% veroxen emulsifiable concentrate 100 ml and urea 5 kg with fine soil 5 kg, and sprinkle in the field when dew is dry. When applying the pesticide, keep the lotus root field at 7~10 cm deep, keep the water layer for more than 1 week, and the effective period can reach more than 1 month. Or use 12.5% clover or 35% fenvalerate to kill 40 ml, add 40~50 kg of water, spray on the leaves of weeds when dew is dry, and most of the 3~4-leaf grass weeds are killed after 4 days.
