The main results are as follows: (1) Variety source: it is a new variety bred in 1992 by Mianyang Institute of Agricultural Sciences using Xushu 18 as female parent and Mianfen No. 1 as male parent.

(2) characteristics: medium ripe, medium vine type. The top leaves are purple, the mature leaves are green, the old leaves turn purple-red, the leaves are heart-type and toothed, the plant type is creeping, the basal branches are 5-8, the tubers are short and large, the skin is yellowish, the flesh is yellowish, the tubers are concentrated, there are 2-3 tubers per plant, and the sprouting is good, and the seedling stage and the field grow vigorously. The drying rate of potato pieces is 26.5%, the flour rate is 13.7%, and the potato rate is 92.4%; the rattan leaves are crisp and tender, the adaptability is good, and the resistance to black spot disease is slightly better than Nanshu 88, and the cooked food quality is general, so it is a better variety for both feeding and use.

(3) yield performance: participated in the provincial regional test in 1993 and 1994, the average fresh yield per mu was 2087.65 kg, rattan leaf 1609.48 kg, biological fresh yield 3789.77 kg and biological dry yield 744.67 kg. Compared with the control Nanshu 88, the yield increased by 7.76%, 20.15%, 13.11% and 3.85%, respectively. In the 1995 production test, the average yield per mu of fresh rice, rattan leaves, biological fresh yield and biological dry yield were 1553.73 kg, 1204.53 kg, 2758.26 kg and 557.72 kg, respectively, which were 16.92%, 35.51%, 24.37% and 12.93% higher than that of Nanshu 88, respectively.

(4) suitable planting area: suitable for planting on the slope platform in the producing area of Hongyang in our province.
