Mianshu 6

The main results are as follows: (1) Variety source: Mianshu 6 was bred by Mianyang Institute of Agricultural Sciences in 1991 using Xushu 18 as female parent and 83mur1229 as male parent through sexual hybridization.

(2) characteristics: Mianshu 6 belongs to starch processing variety. The parietal leaf is green, the heart shape is shallow and simple: the plant type is creeping, the vine is long and the vine is medium in diameter. There are 5 basal branches. Potato spindles, purple potato skin, white or purplish potato meat, smooth skin, medium quality of cooked food. The drying rate is 32.23% and the powder yield is 19.75%. The sprouting ability is good, the tuber is concentrated, there are 5 tubers per plant, and the rate of large and medium potatoes is more than 88%. Resistant to black spot, resistant to storage.

(3) yield performance: in the provincial regional test in 1997 and 1998, the average yield of fresh potato per mu was 1895.4 kg, 0.2% lower than that of the control Nanshu 88; the yield of rattan leaves per mu was 1506.1 kg, an increase of 0.7%; and the yield of dried potato was 611.1 kg per mu, an increase of 10%. The yield of starch per mu was 362.8 kg, an increase of 28.5%. In the production test in 1999, the average yield of fresh potato per mu was 1488.6 kg, an increase of 73% over the control Nanshu 88; a yield of 1839.5 kg per mu of rattan leaves, a decrease of 5.8%; a yield of 451.9 kg of dried potato per mu, an increase of 16.3%; and a yield of 270.9 kg per mu of starch, an increase of 22.03%.

(4) cultivation points: the same as the general growing varieties. Avoid planting on watery land on a low platform.

(5) suitable planting area: suitable for planting in the main potato areas of Sichuan. It is the most suitable for more than two sets of soil, and it is best to concentrate planting in the area with sweet potato starch processing.
