High-quality fish forage-- the key technique for high-yield cultivation of zedoary
Zedoary is an annual or perennial herb of the genus Asteraceae lettuce. It is rich in nutrients, and its crude protein content is 35% and 40% higher than that of Sudan grass, which is known as the "king of forage". The tender leaves of zedoary vegetables contain many carbohydrates, have good palatability, and the utilization rate is almost as high as 100%. It is an excellent green feed for fish. Zedoary vegetable is the best "green forage" for ryegrass and Sudan grass before the off-season and Sudan grass peak season. It can not only serve as the "staple food" of herbivorous fish, but also serve as a "delicacy" for cultivating green, grass, carp and other fish species.
Cultivation characteristics: zedoary vegetable not only likes warm and humid climate, but also resistant to heat and cold, and does not have strict requirements for soil fertility, but it has higher yield in soil with good drainage performance or sandy soil; it has strong regeneration ability and can be mowed 7 ~ 8 times a year; it has simple cultivation management and high production capacity, and the yield per mu is about 4000 kg, and the high one can reach more than 5000 kg.
Sowing technology: zedoary vegetables can be direct seeded or transplant, but the production is mainly direct seeding. Zedoary vegetables can generally be sown when the daily average temperature is stable at 12 degrees. Because the seeds of zedoary are small and the cotyledons of the seedlings are small and thin, the soil should be finely leveled when sowing, and the base fertilizer should be applied mainly with organic fertilizer. There are three ways of live broadcast: strip broadcast, on-demand broadcast and broadcast, but strip broadcast is better. Strip sowing: the width of sowing ditch is about 15 cm, the depth is 2 cm ~ 3 cm, and the row spacing is about 25 cm. On-demand: the spacing between plants and rows is generally 20cm × 25cm. Sowing: it is full of seeds. No matter strip sowing, on demand sowing or sowing, the seeds should first be mixed into the stove ash or fine soil mixed with calcium magnesium phosphate fertilizer, and then sown evenly. After sowing, except that the sowing needs to be covered with fine broken fertilizer soil, strip sowing and on demand sowing do not need to cover the seeds, generally using about 0.5 kg of seed per mu. When the soil is moist and the temperature is normal, most of the seedlings can break out of the soil in about 7 days.
Cutting management: zedoary vegetables grow rapidly, have strong regeneration ability, and have a large demand for fertilizer. Therefore, in addition to applying sufficient base fertilizer during sowing, the seedling stage should be combined with ploughing, loosening soil and weeding to apply a quick-acting fertilizer dominated by human and animal manure water, so as to promote the early growth and rapid development of seedlings and shorten the cutting period. The growth period of zedoary vegetable is from April to July, and it can be cut for the first time when it has grown to about 40 cm in early May. The stubble is about 3 cm during cutting, and can be cut again every 20 days or so. After each cutting, ploughing and topdressing should be done immediately. Generally, urea 5 kg ~ 8 kg per mu plus 150 kg of human and animal dung water should be diluted and applied. The harm of aphids mainly occurs during the growth of zedoary vegetables. Aphids are generally applied in the afternoon on a sunny day. 1500 times of dichlorvos EC per mu or 1000 times of 25% thiazuron 3 gel suspension can be sprayed with 50 kg ~ 60 kg spray. Note: stop spraying 10 days before cutting.
Seed method: zedoary leaves seeds to choose plots in the middle and upper fertility. Generally speaking, the remaining seed land generally stops cutting in late July (that is, after cutting 4 ~ 5 times), and fertilizers mainly composed of phosphorus and potassium are applied once to promote the robust growth of plants and lay the foundation for flower bud differentiation and multi-flowering and seed-bearing. Because zedoary vegetable has the characteristics of long flowering time and different seed maturation, we should pay attention to prevent early mature seeds from falling naturally in the later stage, and do a good job of harvesting seeds in batches, that is, "harvest with ripening", so as to strive for high yield and bumper harvest of seeds.

Malnutrition causes fish diseases
With the rapid development of factory breeding, formula feed is used more and more widely. However, some formula feed can not meet the nutritional needs of fish due to raw material problems or preparation technical problems. In particular, the feed designed and produced by small feed factories and farmers may cause undernutrition or overnutrition, which will lead to the decline of fish physique and, in serious cases, fish death. This paper will discuss the causes of fish diseases from the aspect of nutrition, in order to guide farmers to take timely measures to prevent fish diseases in culture production.
