Maintenance of Miniature Bonsai
1. Put it. As the miniature bonsai has very little soil and weak plants, it can not stand the wind and sun, so it should be placed in a place with plenty of sunshine, shelter from the wind and shade. The bonsai is placed in a sand bed covered with thick wet sand of 3~4cm, and the basin is buried shallowly in the wet sand, and the bottom of the basin is padded with a flat tile slightly larger than the bottom of the basin, so as to prevent the plant roots from developing into the sand. You can also use a shallow plate, put a flat brick, slightly out of the water, miniature bonsai on it, you can maintain a certain humidity of bonsai.
two. Water it. Miniature bonsai noodles do not have a sink. When watering, place the basin in a water storage container for a few minutes and soak it thoroughly. Water one time in the morning and one in the evening in spring and autumn. Summer temperature is higher, watering several times a day, but also should often use a small hole spray can spray water, so as to avoid leaf burns, fall off. If the bottom of the bonsai is buried with a sand bed or a water basin, the number of watering can be reduced.
3. Fertilize. Generally apply slightly diluted rotten cake fertilizer before sprouting. Soak the dry miniature bonsai in the dilute fertilizer solution for a few minutes, then rinse the outside of the basin with clean water. During the plum rain, when picking buds and pruning, we should pay attention to timely supply of nutrients, in order to maintain the growth of plant branches and leaves. The choice of fertilizer and the times of fertilization should be different for different bonsai. Coniferous evergreen bonsai, generally only need to apply wax fertilizer once, so as not to cause needles to grow; bonsai, after flowering, need to supplement fertilizer to promote the next batch of flower buds to gestate; fruit bonsai, in addition to wax fertilizer, topdressing twice before flowering to improve fruit setting rate; miscellaneous bonsai, can not be fertilized, if the phenomenon of weakness, timely supply of a small amount of fertilizer.
4. Turn the basin and trim it. ① turns the basin. Generally in late autumn or early spring, bonsai in the greenhouse can also be carried out in winter. Turning the basin should be combined with soil replacement, and the new soil mostly uses loose rotten soil or sandy loam. Bonsai of flowers and plants are changed every 1-2 years, coniferous plants are changed once every 3-4 years, and miscellaneous trees are changed according to the strength of trees. Change the soil should wait for the basin soil to dry slightly, in order to take off the basin. If you change a small basin for a large basin, you need to add new soil. If you use the original basin or change a small basin, you must trim the overdense root system properly, cut off the old root and rotten root, and retain the length and width of the root system to suit the new basin. ② pruning. When the plant germinates new buds and new branches affect the shape, the excess buds should be erased and the excess branches should be cut off. In order to control the growth of bonsai, it is necessary to pick hearts, pick leaves and cut leaves in time.
