Last Updated: 2024/11/05, The Chinese name red-headed snakehead turtle is distributed geographically in Venezuela, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, Guyana and Brazil. The mode of reproduction is to lay eggs. Females can be distinguished by their tails (of course, long and thick tails are male). It can mate all year round. Female turtles can lay 4 to 6 eggs at a time, sometimes laying eggs far away from the water source. Habitual crooked-necked turtles are basically aquatic, but are often found walking on land after rain. The three animals I keep in captivity spend more time on land than they do in the water.

The mode of reproduction is to lay eggs. Females can be distinguished by their tails (of course, long and thick tails are male). It can mate all year round. Female turtles can lay 4 to 6 eggs at a time, sometimes laying eggs far away from the water source.

The tortoise has a rather flat head and carapace. Two keel-like protrusions that run through the entire oval toenail, forming a groove in the middle of the toenail. This pair of bulges are very distinctive. My three crooked-necked turtles have black stripes between dark and light brown. The belly nail is all dark brown or black, and the yellowish edge extends all the way to the edge shield. The head is dark orange-red, and there are tiny tumors on the neck, and gradually become smaller and smaller from top to bottom. The head is scaleless and the top is smooth. The rest of the skin is dark black and the limbs are covered with large black scales. Its limbs and toes make it associated with semiaquatic turtles. Adult crooked-necked turtles can reach about 6 feet (15cm).

Eating habits when they catch a piece of meat, fish or an insect, they tear open the food with their front claws, just like other turtle brothers. They also yank their heads to the side, using this strange movement to help feed.

Nursing generally speaking, crooked-necked turtles are more suitable for captivity. But its behavior and body may be so weak that it is thought to be the end of the day.
