[etiology]

The cause of rheumatism is not clear. But it is currently considered to be an autoimmune disease. That is, the hemolytic streptococcus invading the diseased dog can make the body produce the corresponding antibody. When there is some inducement to make the streptococcus re-invade the body, the invading streptococcus acts as a kind of antigenic substance, combined with the anti-streptococcal antibody in the body to form an antigen-antibody complex, which can cause rheumatism. Wind-cold, damp, cold, rain, overwork, pharyngitis, laryngitis, tonsillitis and so on are all causes of rheumatism.

The body temperature of the diseased dog can be increased by 1 to 1.5 ℃, and the respiration and pulse also change slightly. If the whole body muscle rheumatism, the affected dog shows that the whole body muscle is stiff, it is difficult to walk, and often cannot afford to lie on the ground.
