What are the ecological characteristics of Lycoris radiata?

Lycoris radiata, also known as cockroach flower and Laojiao garlic, belongs to perennial herbaceous flowers of Amaryllidaceae. It originated to the south of Qinling Mountains in China, and it is most common in the Yangtze River Basin and southwest China. Born in cool, moist and humus rock crevices, like fertile and moist soil, cold-resistant, good drainage is required. Bulb propagation should be planted once a year in 3 to 4 years. When planting, break off the daughter bulb on the edge of the mother bulb or cut it off with a sharp knife for separate planting. Keep the soil moist after planting and don't water too much so as not to rot the bulbs. Compound fertilizer should be applied before sprouting to promote large and colorful flowers. Cut off the scape after flowering to reduce the loss of nutrients. When the plant withered, dig up the bulb, be careful not to damage the whisker root, otherwise it will affect the flowering.
