2. Variety sources: in 1991, Jiyin 8611 was used as the female parent and Jiu88-2 as the male parent. The original code is Jiudao 302.

3. Characteristics:

1. Plant characters: plant height 103 cm, plant type compact, leaves erect, strong tillering ability, about 24 effective panicles per hole.

2. Panicle traits: ear length 19.8 cm, scattered spike shape, 180 grains per main ear, average 115 grains per ear, medium grain density, seed setting rate over 90%.

3. Grain characters: grain oval, yellow, Awned, 1000-grain weight 25.0 g

4. Quality analysis: according to the Ministry of Agriculture NY122-86 "High quality Edible Rice" standard, brown rice rate, milled rice rate,

11 indexes of head rice rate, grain length, ratio of length to width, chalkiness, chalkiness, alkali elimination value, gel consistency, amylose content and protein content reached the first class standard of high quality rice.

5. Stress resistance: artificial inoculation identification, medium susceptibility to seedling blast; identification of natural induction in different fields, moderate resistance to leaf blast, susceptibility to neck blast

6. Fertility days: middle and late maturing varieties. The growth period is 139 days, and the accumulated temperature of ≥ 10 ℃ is 2800 ℃.

IV. Output results:

In 2002, the average hectare yield in the preparatory trial was 8400.0 kg, 2.2% higher than that of the control Tong35; the average hectare yield in the 2001-2003 regional trial was 8405.2 kg, 4.2% higher than that of the control Tong35; and the average hectare yield in the production trial in 2003 was 7819.5 kg, 3.6% higher than that of the control Tong35.

5. Main points of cultivation:

1. Sowing and transplanting: sparsely sowing strong seedlings, sowing in the first and middle of April, transplanting in the middle and last ten days of May

2. Cultivation density: 30 × 20 cm, 3-5 seedlings per hole

3. Fertilization: nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium formula fertilization, 140 kg pure nitrogen per hectare, 40% base fertilizer, 30% tiller fertilizer, 20% fertilizer, 10% panicle fertilizer, 75 kg phosphate fertilizer, 75 kg potash fertilizer, 50% base fertilizer and 50% panicle fertilizer.

4. Field management: water management is mainly shallow, intermittent irrigation after heading. In the first and middle of July, attention should be paid to the control of Chilo suppressalis and timely control of rice blast.
