Treatment of pig jungle leg foot rot

When the pigs are lying down, check their hooves, the blood supply in the infected tissue is poor, so the dose of antibiotics should be increased, and the medication time should be prolonged in order to have a therapeutic effect.

The following antibiotics are available for treatment: lincomycin, 11 mg per kilogram of body weight per day, oxytetracycline, 25 mg per kilogram of body weight per day, and ampicillin 15 mg per kilogram of body weight daily for 5 days.

If the medication does not improve for three consecutive days, another antibiotic should be used. Complete recovery takes 3 to 4 weeks. Anti-inflammatory drugs can be taken orally or injected to relieve the disease, such as benzozolone. If the disease is common in pigs, bathe your feet with 1% formalin (which must be carried out in a ventilated environment) or 5% copper sulfate solution. Drive the pigs through the solution once a week for 2 weeks or 3 weeks.

However, it should be noted that it is not appropriate to do this treatment in the case of dry and cracked hoof pages, which will aggravate the disease.
