Recently, many farmers have reported that millet diseases are serious. after our investigation, we found that millet fields are mostly mixed with several diseases, mainly gray leaf spot, leaf spot and blast, which occur widely. Remind the broad masses of farmers to prevent and control them in time.

The main results are as follows: 1. there are differences in the occurrence degree of diseases among different millet varieties. according to the investigation, it is found that the diseases of Honggu and common millet varieties are more serious, while Zhangzagu 8 is lighter.

Second, the symptoms showed that the disease infected the middle and lower leaves of millet plants, and no disease spots were found on the newly grown leaves. The middle and lower leaves are densely covered with disease spots, which are brown spots at first, then oval or fusiform, whitish in the center and reddish brown at the edge. Some plaques have yellow halos.

Third, the cause of the disease is that Julu County has more cloudy and rainy days in July and August. According to the statistics of the county meteorological bureau, the cloudy and rainy days in July reached 12 days. Since August, it has been basically cloudy and rainy, with high air humidity. However, millet gray spot, leaf spot and blast are easy to occur in rainy season and high air humidity, so the disease of millet this year is more serious than in previous years.

Fourth, control measures: spraying 70% methyl topiramate or 50% carbendazim to control gray spot and leaf spot, and spraying 6% spring leomycin wettable powder to control grain blast. In view of the mixed occurrence of these three diseases this year, 70% methyl topiramate + potassium dihydrogen phosphate can be sprayed to control.
