Polypeptides are commonly used as antibiotics in geese
Polymyxin
Source and character: this product is extracted from the culture medium of polymyxobacterium. There are five components A, B, C, D and E, which belong to polypeptides with similar basic chemical structure. the clinical applications are mainly polymyxin B and E. Its sulfate is white or yellowish powder and is soluble in water.
Function and use: this product has strong antibacterial effect on Gram-negative bacteria, low concentration bacteriostasis, high concentration sterilization, mainly effective against Escherichia coli, Salmonella, Shigella, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Pasteurella aeruginosa, especially Pasteurella aeruginosa. However, it had no effect on Gram-positive bacteria and fungi. Clinically, it is mainly used to treat various infections caused by Pseudomonas aeruginosa and other Gram-negative bacteria.
Dose and usage: polymyxin E sulfate tablets, specification is 125000 units, 250000 units, (65000 units equivalent to 10 mg), a period of 3 years, poultry oral dose of 30, 000-80, 000 units per kilogram of body weight, 1-2 times a day.
Note: this product has obvious toxicity to the kidney and nervous system, the dose should not be too large, the course of treatment should not be too long; it should not be used with aminoglycoside antibiotics such as gentamicin and streptomycin, otherwise it will enhance its toxicity. This product is not absorbed orally, so it can not be used for the treatment of systemic infectious diseases.

Common feeds for pigs-energy feeds-(1) grain seeds
The common feeds for pigs include energy feed, protein feed, green feed, silage feed, roughage, mineral feed and feed additives. Energy feed refers to the feed with crude fiber content less than 18% and crude protein content less than 20%. Its nutritional characteristics are rich in starch that is easy to digest and is the main source of energy needed by pigs. But this kind of feed protein, mineral and vitamin content is low, mainly including cereal seeds and their processing by-products, starchy root tubers and so on.

Three key measures for prevention and control of duck disease
1. Do a good job in environmental disinfection. 1. To ensure the disinfection effect, the drugs currently used for environmental disinfection in farms are: aldehydes (formaldehyde, glutaraldehyde), alkaloids (such as fire alkali, quicklime), halogens (chlorine preparations such as bleach, disinfectant king, disinfectant, etc.). Iodine preparations have iodine trioxide), peroxides (such as peracetic acid), quaternary ammonium salts (such as permethrin). Physical cleaning and washing should be done before disinfection to prevent the existence of organic matter (such as feces, urine, pus, body fluids, etc.), and then spray liquid disinfection.
