Variety source: Singapore sweet carambola seed seedling breeding.
Characteristics: branches open, branchlets numerous and dense, soft and drooping. the leaves are odd-pinnate, 10-21 cm long and 10-16 cm wide, alternate; the number of leaflets is 7-15, mostly 11, alternate or opposite; leaflet body asymmetrical, one side of the base is broad and obtuse, the other side of the base is narrow and oblique; annual branches, reddish brown skin, lenticels protruding. Flowers are racemes, axillary, 2-3 cm long, each inflorescence has more than ten to dozens of flowers. Flowers small, about 8 mm long, crown diameter about 4 mm, bell-shaped, 5 petals, purplish red with fragrance; 10 stamens, 5 short and hypoplastic, lack of anthers, 5 pollen; 1 pistil, superior ovary, 5-loculed, with 1 seed per locule. The fruit is fleshy berry, short spindle-shaped, thick and long stalk, easy to bag, high fruit convergence, obvious depression in the middle of the shoulder, fruit tip concave, generally 5-angled, cross-section is pentagonal, the pericarp is thin and smooth, the immature fruit is green, the converging edge is white, the fruit is yellow when it is ripe, and the white spot is eliminated. The average weight of single fruit is 213 grams, the soluble solids in pulp is 8.0%-12.5%, and the content of total organic acid is 0.2%-0.45%.
Planting in southern Guangxi has three or four times of flowering and fruiting every year: from mid-late May to early June, from mid-late August to early September, from mid-late July to mid-August, from mid-October to early November, from late October to mid-November, and from mid-January to late February the following year.
Yield performance: flowering and hanging fruit in the same year, it can be formally put into production in the second year, the yield per plant can reach 20 kg, the yield per plant in the third year can reach 30 kg, and the yield per plant can reach more than 45 kg in the fourth year.
