Variety source: Xinmai 13 is a new variety with high yield, disease resistance, stable yield, high quality and wide adaptability, formerly known as Xinxiang 9178, which was bred by Xinxiang Agricultural Science Research Institute of Henan Province using Wanyuan Changbai as female parent and (C5Mai 3577) F3d1 as male parent.

Yield performance: 1. Output results of national Huanghuai south regional test and production test.

Xinmai 13 participated in the national regional test and production test for three years in a row, and won the first place in output in three years. Participated in the National Huanghuai South Regional Test from 1999 to 2001, summed up at 17:00, increased yield at 17:00, with an average yield of 531.2kg per mu, 5.99% higher than the control variety, ranking first among the 10 tested varieties, and was the only variety with a very significant yield increase compared with the control variety. Summarized at 16:00 in 2001, the yield increased at 16:00, with an average yield of 564.17kg per mu, 9.64% higher than the control variety Yumai 49, and ranked first among the 11 tested varieties. it was still the only variety with a significant yield increase compared with the control variety.

The national two-year regional test sites are distributed in Henan, Anhui, Jiangsu and Shaanxi provinces. 100% of the production is increased, 50% is the first, more than 20% is the second, and 15% is the third. Henan, Anhui, Jiangsu and Shaanxi respectively summed up the results. Xinmai 13 ranked first among the four provinces, with an increase of 9.4% in Henan Province, 10.65% in Anhui Province, 7.8% in Jiangsu Province and 11.2% in Shaanxi Province.

In the national Huanghuai south production experiment in 2002, Xinmai 13 had an average yield of 458.6kg per mu, which was 4.27% higher than the control variety Yumai 49, and it was the only variety with higher yield than the control. it once again ranked first among the five tested varieties and ranked first among Henan, Anhui, Jiangsu and Shaanxi provinces respectively.

Through the analysis of the coefficient of variation of the average yield of the tested varieties, variety fitness analysis, Ebehart-Russell analysis, Shukla analysis and C S Lin analysis showed that the average value of Xinmai 13 was the highest, reaching 564.7 kg; the CV value was the smallest, only 9.3%; the fitness was the largest, reaching 100%, and its static stability, dynamic stability and wide adaptability were the best. Therefore, it is a new wheat variety with high yield, stable yield and wide adaptability.

2. Quality inspection results

The national Huang-Huai winter wheat regional test was sampled uniformly, and the grain quality supervision, inspection and testing center of the Ministry of Agriculture was commissioned to determine (Harbin). The results of Xinmai 13 were as follows: crude protein (dry base) 13.1%, bulk density 800g/L, wet gluten 30.0%, sedimentation value 24.4mL, water absorption 58.2%, formation time 2.4min, stable time 3.6min, it is a high quality medium gluten wheat variety.

3. Identification results of disease resistance.

The results of disease resistance identification of national wheat regional trial varieties by Plant Protection Institute of Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences showed that Xinmai 13 was immune to stripe rust, moderately resistant to powdery mildew and sheath blight, susceptible to leaf scab and scab.
