Reproduction and breeding of goldfish
Morphological characteristics of goldfish
Goldfish, also known as Baiyunshan fish, Tang fish, red-tailed fish, color goldfish, Cyprinidae is native to Guangdong, China.
The goldfish was first found in Baiyun Mountain in the northern suburb of Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province, China, so it is called Baiyun Mountain Fish.
The goldfish is about 3-4 cm long and has a spindle-shaped body, slender body, slightly flattened side, small head, large eyes and blunt round kiss. The back of the fish is tea-brown, slightly bluish, the abdomen is silvery white, the dorsal and caudal fins are bright red, the ventral fin tip is yellow, and the middle of the tail is also red. There is a golden band along the side line from the end of the snout to the end of the tail stalk, and there is also a golden spot, so it is named goldfish.
The goldfish is petite and colorful, especially when it is young. It is known as "Sai Honglian Lantern" in foreign countries.
Feeding requirements of goldfish
Goldfish have mild temperament, miscellaneous eating habits and are easy to raise. It is very suitable for beginners. It has no strict requirements for feed water, generally weak acid or neutral soft water is better, the suitable temperature is 20-25 degrees Celsius, but it can withstand low temperature and can survive in water of 5 degrees Celsius.
Although goldfish have miscellaneous feeding habits, they prefer to eat animal bait. More aquatic plants should be planted in the feeding tank to maintain proper light. Goldfish are suitable for mixed culture with other tropical fish.
Male and female identification and reproduction of goldfish
The male and female of the goldfish can generally be distinguished by the following characteristics: the male is smaller than the female, but the dorsal and anal fins are larger than the female, and the body color is darker and brighter than the female; the female is larger than the male, and the belly is enlarged and slightly whitish.
PH6.5-7.5, hardness 6-8, water temperature 24 degrees Celsius is appropriate, the bottom of the cylinder covered with gravel or pebbles, a variety of foxtail algae, golden grass and other water plants. Goldfish like to lay eggs in sunlight, so the breeding tank should be placed in a place where the sun can shine.
When breeding, you can choose to breed fish in pairs into the tank, or you can use group reproduction. Each female goldfish can lay 150-300 eggs at a time. After spawning and fertilization, the fish should be fished out immediately to avoid swallowing the eggs.
The fertilized eggs hatch after 1-2 days, and after about 3 days, the larvae begin to swim for food. At the beginning, it should be fed with "migratory water", and it will take about 10 days to feed other small fish and insects.

The method of domesticating fish quickly on the bait table
In recent years, with the continuous improvement of fish culture technology, the method of raising fish with full-price pellet feed has been gradually popularized and applied. However, because many fish farmers are unable to feed and domesticate, the domesticated fish can not get on the bait table for a long time, which not only affects the feeding, delays the growth, but also increases the labor cost and affects the breeding benefit. The two simple and easy domestication methods summarized in our production practice are introduced as follows. 1. The bait hanging bag domestication method can be made by using large-eye window screen (whichever is not leaking).

Pond fish "raising in winter" has many advantages.
Guangdong Province is located in the tropics and subtropics, and is rich in water and heat resources. in Guangzhou, the annual average temperature is more than 23 ℃, and the coldest January average temperature is still about 13 ℃. This natural advantage is very beneficial to catch pond fish "raising in winter". Practice in various places has proved that "winter culture" of pond fish has many advantages: first, the cold water temperature is low, the organic matter and fertilizer in the fish pond decompose slowly, the pond water is fresh and oxygen is sufficient, which is conducive to the rapid growth of pond fish; second, because of the cold weather, the bacteria and parasites in the pond are not easy to reproduce and grow, and the pond fish
