1. Long sows were selected and crossbred to improve the birth weight of piglets. The birth weight of piglets determines the vitality and weight gain rate of piglets to a certain extent. 3. Strengthen the feeding of lactating sows and improve the lactation ability of sows. If sows have enough milk to feed their piglets, there will be a reliable guarantee for the weight gain of thousands of pigs during lactation. The main measures to improve the lactation ability of sows are as follows: (1) the methods of prenatal diet reduction and postpartum feed increase are adopted to ensure a good appetite of sows. Three days before parturition, the feed intake of sows was reduced to 1 × 3 × 1 / 2, and stopped on the day of delivery. After 3 days of production, the amount of feed was added to the original amount, and then the amount of feed increased gradually with the increase of lactation days. (2) feed more green succulent feed and root tuber feed to increase lactation. (3) massage the breasts. Breast massage was given to parturient sows every day from 15 days before delivery for a continuous month, and good results were obtained. (4) to increase the concentration and types of feed nutrients for sows to ensure the nutritional needs of sows for lactation. Compound feed for lactating sows should contain digestible energy 13.1 megajoules per kilogram, digestible crude protein 146 grams, calcium 0.6%, phosphorus 0.4%. (5) Chinese herbal medicine was used to promote the lactation of sows with low lactation.

4. Pay attention to the feeding and management of suckling piglets. The main results are as follows: (1) give newborn piglets a suitable ambient temperature. Newborn piglets have few coat, thin subcutaneous fat layer and fear of cold, so they must live in a higher ambient temperature. It was 34 ℃ within 4 days after birth and 25 ℃ ~ 30 ℃ after 7 days old. (2) timely feeding colostrum and artificial fixed nipple after birth. Piglets should be fed colostrum immediately after the navel is severed and give birth to one. The whole litter piglets can be trained to fix the nipple after birth, and the strong piglets eat the last nipple, and mark the pig body after arranging. Each piglet is placed on the designated nipple during each feeding. After 2-3 days, the piglet's nipple can be fixed. (3) early feeding. From 5 to 7 days after birth, piglets were induced to eat with special full-price feed of suckling pig particles. (4) pay attention to the supplement of hematopoietic elements such as iron, diamond, copper and so on. The piglets can be fed with glucose-iron-cobalt injection or ferrous sulfate-copper sulfate solution within 4 days after birth. The specific method is: 3-day-old injection of dextran iron cobalt solution 1 ml, 10-day-old intramuscular injection 2 ml. Or 2.5g of ferrous sulfate and 1g of copper sulfate are dissolved in 1000 ml of hot water, filtered and given orally to piglets, which can be dripped into the mouth of piglets with an eyedropper, 10 ml twice a day at the age of 3, 5, 7, 10 and 15 days.

5. Piglets are weaned at the right time. Generally speaking, the longer the lactation time, the greater the weaning weight of piglets, but too long lactation time will reduce the annual litter size of sows. At present, most of the weaning days are 35 days old.
