High dietary protein concentration is the main cause of the disease. In addition, sodium bicarbonate poisoning, vitamin A deficiency, sulfonamides poisoning, aspergillus toxin poisoning, damp henhouse, lack of exercise can induce the disease. The main results are as follows: (1) etiology: poultry gout is mainly a metabolic disease caused by protein metabolism disorder. High dietary protein concentration is the main cause of the disease. In addition, sodium bicarbonate poisoning, vitamin A deficiency, sulfonamides poisoning, aspergillus toxin poisoning, damp henhouse, lack of exercise can induce the disease.

(2) symptoms and changes of autopsy: due to the different sites of urate deposition in the body, gout can be divided into two types: visceral gout and joint gout. Visceral gout is common in chickens, diseased chickens show chronic process, poor appetite, gradual emaciation and weakness, loose feathers, anemia, reduced egg production of hens, white loose stool, red and swollen anus. In diseased chickens with joint gout, the joints of the limbs and legs are swollen, crippled and difficult to stand. Autopsy showed that the kidney of the diseased chicken with visceral gout was enlarged and there were urate deposits on the surface, showing white markings. The ureter dilates and is filled with uric acid or forms a hard urate embolism. Severely diseased chickens are covered with a thick layer of calcareous urate on the surface of their internal organs (liver, heart, spleen, lung) and mesentery. There are a large amount of white urate deposition in the joint cavity of gout chickens, and some joint surfaces are eroded.

(3) Green prevention and control measures: the protein content in feed should not exceed 20%. Give diseased chickens an antidote for kidney swelling until the disease disappears.
