Causes of Cotton abortion and Rescue measures
Cotton abortion occurs every year. The so-called abortion means that cotton loses the function of normal growth, that is, it only blossoms but does not bear peaches, or blossoms more than peaches. First of all, the reason is caused by climate factors, the second is the blind introduction of cotton varieties, and the second is that the cultivation means do not adapt to climate change.
According to records, when the temperature exceeds 35 ℃, the pollen development is abnormal and can not pollinate normally, while the persistent drought aggravates the shedding of buds and bolls. In addition, in mid-August, some cotton areas have been overcast and rainy for a week, which will also make it difficult for cotton to bloom and pollinate normally.
The abortion phenomenon of high temperature tolerant varieties was less, and there were more abortive phenomena when the high temperature tolerant varieties in the north were introduced to the southern cotton area.
In terms of cultivation technology, some late-maturing cotton varieties and late-stubble cotton encountered high temperature and drought during the peak flowering period; some cotton fields had too much density, serious shade, and poor permeable environment; some cotton fields applied nitrogen fertilizer, resulting in excessive vegetative growth and bad peach setting.
The following measures can be taken to save cotton abortion:
First of all, seize the opportunity of the second peach peak of cotton. In normal years, the first peach setting peak is from late July to early August. When the temperature drops to 25: 30 ℃, there will be a second peach peak. Therefore, the loss of autumn peach can be compensated, and the mature rate of autumn peach is about 15% higher than that of Fu peach.
Secondly, distinguish the seedling situation and strengthen the management. Apply urea 5kg / mu to de-fertilized cotton fields; spray 1% urea and 0.2% potassium dihydrogen phosphate solution outside the roots of general cotton fields; thoroughly prune and remove old leaves in cotton fields with high density and shade weight; spray medroxyamine or prophylaxis on the roots of cotton fields that are growing vigorously, 3g / mu or 12kg / mu, 50 kg of water, and control diseases and insect pests in the later stage.
Third, select cotton varieties suitable for planting in this area; timely seedling, early transplanting; reasonable close planting; improve water system facilities in cotton field; scientific operation of fertilizer and water.

Cotton seed dressing gets twice the result with half the effort
Years of practice has proved that seed dressing at sowing date is one of the important measures to ensure the health of cotton seedlings, which can achieve the purpose of economically, safely, effectively controlling or reducing the damage of cotton seedling diseases, seedling aphids, underground pests and other diseases and pests, and get twice the result with half the effort. At present, the Qingming Festival has passed, and the cotton sowing work in the city has been carried out in an all-round way. Now this technique is briefly introduced as follows: 1. The selection of resistant and disease-tolerant varieties or sowing coated seeds can emerge early for 3-4 days and reduce the incidence of disease. 2. Mix with 75% nail

Cotton white mildew
The symptoms occurred in the middle and later stages of cotton growth in each cotton area. The white spot with a diameter of 3-4mm appeared at the beginning of a single leaf vein network, and then became irregular polygonal. The disease spot was light green to yellowish green on the front of the leaf, and there were many white frosty conidiophores and conidia on the back of the leaf. Pathogen RamulariaareolaAtk. It is called white spot column sporulation or cotton column sporulation, which belongs to the subphylum fungus. The conidiophores are colorless, protruding in bundles from the stomata on the back of the leaves, mostly branched at the base, with a dentate tip
