(1) combination source: this combination is a new type of cotton hybrid bred by Cotton Research Institute of Sichuan Academy of Agricultural Sciences using cotton genic male sterile "secondary method" complete male sterile line MA as female parent and Chuan 55 as male parent.
(2) characteristics: the growth period is 128-131 days, which belongs to the type of early and middle maturity, rapid growth and development in the bud stage, vigorous growth in the early and middle stages, tower type, low node position of fruit branches, good ventilation and light transmittance, medium large and dark green leaves. The boll is large, the egg orchard is slightly pointed, the single boll weighs 5.16 grams, and the lint percentage is 42.83%. Clothing index 7.51 grams, seed index 9.66 grams, white fiber, smooth bolting; resistance to Fusarium wilt, resistance to Verticillium wilt, good quality.
(3) yield, quality and resistance performance: identified by the provincial regional test from 1995 to 1996, the average lint yield per mu was 11.92% higher than that of Chuanmian 56, which was 11.92% higher than that of Chuanmian 56. The 1997 production test showed that the average lint yield per mu was 100.15kg, 16.08% higher than that of Chuanmian 56. Fiber quality: micronaire value 4.65 and 2.5% span length 29.76mm, specific strength 21.29g / Tex. Disease resistance: Fusarium wilt refers to 11.2%, Verticillium wilt refers to 33.5%, belonging to the type of resistance to Fusarium wilt and Verticillium wilt.
(4) the key points of cultivation techniques: the sowing date should be in the first ten days of April. 2800-33000 plants per mu (medium fertility), sufficient organic base fertilizer, re-application of flower and boll fertilizer to control pests in time, and chemical control was used in bud and florescence.
