Harvest and processing of Angelica sinensis
This product is the dried root of Angelica sinensis of Umbelliferae.
(1) Origin: mainly produced in Min County, Wudu, Zhang County, Cheng County, Wen County and other places in Gansu Province, Yunnan, Sichuan, Shaanxi, Hubei and other provinces. The Lord is cultivated. (2) Origin processing: late autumn mining, remove fibrous roots and sediment, after a little evaporation of water, tied into a small handle, on the shed, slowly smoked dry with fireworks. Character: slightly cylindrical, with 3-5 branches or more at the lower part, 15-25 cm long. The surface is yellowish brown to tan, with longitudinal wrinkles and transverse long dermatomes. Root head (return head) diameter 1.5-4 cm, with ring pattern, upper round blunt, purple or yellow-green stems and leaf sheath residues; main root (return body) surface uneven; branch root (return tail) diameter 0.3-1 cm, thick on the lower fine, more twisted, with a few fibrous root marks. Quality is pliant, cross section is yellow-white or yellowish brown, skin is thick, have fissure and most brown dot secretive cavity, wood color is lighter, cambium annulus is yellow-brown. It has a rich aroma, sweet, spicy and slightly bitter.
It is better to have thick and long taproot, oily, yellow brown outer skin, yellow white section and rich smell. Firewood sex is big, dry without oil or cross-section shows greenish brown person cannot offer officinal.

Harvest of Angelica sinensis
Angelica sinensis was direct seeded in autumn in the second year, transplanted in the same year, and harvested after withering and yellowing in mid-October. The natural conditions are different in different places, and the harvest time is also different. For example, Minxian County, Gansu Province, harvested 3-5 days after Frosts Descent, Sichuan producing areas harvested before and after Frosts Descent, and Yan'an, Shaanxi Province, in late October or early November. Harvest should not be too early, too late, Angelica is not yet fully mature, will reduce the yield and quality, too late, the soil freezes, the root becomes brittle, easy to break, the loss is too big. Generally speaking, it is formed by soil.

Angelica sinensis harvest and processing
When the leaves turn yellow in early October, cut off the aboveground and let the sun shine to the ground, promoting the root to mature. Dig Angelica sinensis in late October, start digging from one end of the ground, and dig as much as possible. After digging, combined with ploughing, pick up the missed medicine again.
