Purpose:

Tiger eye evergreen is a kind of folk herbal medicine, which is widely used to treat liver cirrhosis, hepatitis and other diseases.

At present, the special effect of evergreen has attracted the attention of many scientists at home and abroad. In recent years, the scientific research and new discoveries about "Tiger Eye evergreen" have been frequently reported, which has become the focus of pharmaceutical research.

In 2003, with the support of Jilin Provincial Department of Science and Technology, Changchun Yinghua Institute undertook the research and development project of "Research and Development of second Class New drugs of Anticancer traditional Chinese Medicine". They are demand-oriented and identify the tiger-eyed evergreen as the object of study. For more than two years, they have focused on the in-depth study of the active components and pharmacological activities of evergreen. Through the study on the extraction method of tiger eye evergreen, the total effective parts were determined and the extraction process was optimized. They used water extraction and alcohol precipitation technology, so that the content of polysaccharides in the effective parts reached more than 50%, and established a controllable quality standard.

The results showed that the total polysaccharides of tiger eye evergreen had obvious inhibitory effect on hepatoma H22 and sarcoma S180 in mice, and could significantly increase the life prolongation rate of mice inoculated with hepatoma ascites (HepA), but had no obvious effect on nervous system, cardiovascular system and respiratory system of normal experimental animals. No obvious side effects were found in toxicological test.
