Comprehensive introduction of Yumai 68
Yumai 68, a new variety with super high yield, high quality and multi-resistance, has excellent performance in recent years. Yumai 68 is a rare super high yield variety among strong gluten and high quality wheat at present. This variety has been approved by Henan Agricultural articles Review Committee and named Yumai 68.
Yumai 68 participated in the production experiment of late sowing and early ripening group in Henan Province in 1998 and 1999. The average yield per mu in the five pilot projects in the south was 296.88 kg, which was 4.83% higher than that of the control variety Yumai 18, ranking first. The average yield per mu in the six sites in the north was 437.65 kg, which was 5.06% higher than that of the control variety Yumai 18, ranking second. In 1999, Murray continued to participate in the experiment in 2000, and the average yield per mu in 11 pilot projects was 444.5 kg, which was 6.42% higher than that of the control variety Yumai 18, ranking first.
Yumai 68 was of good quality and was sent to the Grain quality Supervision and Inspection Center of Beijing Ministry of Agriculture in 1999 and 2000. the indexes of each project exceeded the national standard of high quality wheat. Yumai 68 ranked first with a score of 91.6.
Yumai 68 applied for new plant variety protection in 2000 and was published in July 2001. In November 2001, it was awarded "China International Agriculture @ 119 famous Brand products". It is the only variety approved by Henan Province with strong gluten and high quality wheat. In the same year, it was regarded as the first batch of funds for the transformation of agricultural scientific and technological achievements by the Ministry of Science and Technology of China. In 2002, it was designated as a variety of high-quality raw materials at the "China International Agricultural products Deep processing-Food Industry Achievement Exhibition and Development Seminar".
