Liaoning Rice cropping Research Institute selected Liao 93-77 as female parent and Liao 34 as male parent in 1999. It was examined and approved by Liaoning Provincial crop Variety approval Committee in 2007.
Characteristics: the growth period of this variety is about 156 days, which is a medium-mature variety. At seedling stage, the leaf color is light green, the leaf is wide, the plant height is 105-110 cm, the plant type is semi-compact, the tillering ability is medium, the main stem has 16 leaves, loose panicle type. The length of ear is 18-20 cm, the number of grains per ear is 120-140, the weight of 1000-grain is 27.6 g, the glume is yellow-white and awnless. Determined by the rice and product quality supervision, inspection and testing center of the Ministry of Agriculture, brown rice rate is 83.2%, milled rice rate is 74.8%, head rice rate is 67.1%, grain length is 5.2 mm, grain length / width ratio is 1.9, chalky grain rate is 38%, chalkiness is 4.8%, transparency grade 1, alkali nitrate value 7, gel consistency 82 mm, amylose 17.7%, protein 8.5%, rice quality is medium. The disease identification and investigation of panicle neck blast in the field showed moderate resistance to panicle neck blast.
Yield performance: participated in the regional trial of rice mid-maturity group in Liaoning Province from 2004 to 2005, the yield was increased at 10:00 and decreased at 2 o'clock, and the average yield per mu in two years was 602.63 kg, 8.65% higher than that of Liaoyan 16, which was 8.65% higher than that of Liaoyan 16. In 2006, the average yield per mu was 590.06 kg, which was 10.33% higher than that of Liaojing 371.
