Cutting can be carried out at any time, select biennial strong rattan stem, cut into small segments of 10 to 15 cm, cut in the sand bed, keep moist, generally take root in 7 to 15 days, transplant in autumn or the following spring. The plant spacing is 40 × 20 cm. It can also be used for vertical greening of flower racks. The whole grass is used as medicine.
