Penicilliosis of Ganoderma lucidum

Published: 2024-11-05 Author: mysheen
Last Updated: 2024/11/05, Penicillium is common in the cultivation of edible fungi. It is an important disease on the sesame bed of edible fungi such as Ganoderma lucidum, and it often occurs in the stage of fruiting body formation. When the symptoms are harvested, the sesame root left on the cultivation bed is easy to catch the disease, and gradually infects the health near the disease body after the disease. Generally, it invades from the base of the stalk of healthy Ganoderma lucidum, and then occurs yellowish brown rot, and expands upward from the base. Affect the yield and edible value of the fruiting body. The pathogen of the disease belongs to fungal disease, and Penicilliunsp., is a subphylum of half-known bacteria. Conidiophores

Penicillium is a common disease in edible fungi cultivation. It is an important disease in Ganoderma lucidum and other edible fungi beds. It often occurs in the fruiting stage.

Symptoms When harvesting, the roots of Ganoderma lucidum left on the cultivation bed are prone to infection, and after infection, they gradually infect the healthy body near the infected body. Generally, it invades from the base of the stipe of healthy Ganoderma lucidum, and then rots yellow brown and expands upward from the base. Affect the yield and edible value of fruiting body.

The pathogen belongs to fungal disease, Penicillium sp., It's a subphylum Semi-mycetes. The conidia are branched broom-like, and the top of the last layer of conidia is pointed and phial, on which conidia are strung. Conidiospores are nearly round, colorless, single-celled, about 3 microns in diameter, and can only be seen under a 400-fold high power microscope. When growing on potato sucrose agar medium, the hypha was white and thin at the initial stage, and attached to the surface of the substrate, slightly powdery. When a large number of conidia were formed, the color of the colony gradually changed from white to green or blue.

The pathogen belongs to weak parasitic fungi, living on a variety of organic matter, forming a large number of conidia, can be transmitted through air flow, in the appropriate temperature and humidity, will produce hyphae on organic matter. Acid-loving culture medium and low moisture content were beneficial to the growth and spread of the pathogen. During the period of Ganoderma lucidum emergence, low moisture content in culture medium, low relative humidity in air, weak growth of young Ganoderma lucidum, and untimely removal of Ganoderma lucidum roots remaining on Ganoderma lucidum bed were beneficial to the occurrence of diseases.

control methods

(1) After harvesting, clean up the cultivation site in time, remove the thin young fungus and residual fungus roots, and reduce the occurrence of germs.

(2) Strengthen cultivation management, spray water on the ground of cultivation room during the formation stage of Zhibu and Zhibu, keep it moist, and ventilate it timely.

(3) The hyphae growth of the pathogen could be inhibited by adjusting the pH value of the medium reasonably and controlling the medium to be neutral or weakly alkaline. Lime can be used to adjust the pH value of the culture medium. 1% lime can be added when mixing the materials. After picking the first tide mushroom, spray 2% lime water solution once.

(4) After chemical control, 1:500 times of 25% carbendazim or 1:800 times of 70% thiophanate-methyl can be sprayed on the mushroom bed.

Commonly used agents carbendazim, thiophanate methyl.
