Harvested in summer and autumn, artificially farmed black snakes can be harvested at any time.

② processing

(1) processing in place of origin. Black snake processing can be divided into two kinds: disk snake and snake stick.

① coiled snake. After catching, break the snake to death, cut it open from neck to anus with a knife or scissors in the abdomen, remove the left viscera, take the bamboo needle string into a circle, place the head in the center, insert the tail end into the abdominal cavity, put it on a barbed wire rack, and dry it with charcoal fire; or use firewood to dry, turn frequently during fumigation, until the surface is slightly black, then dry or bake.

② snake stick. Drop the snake to death, cut off the viscera according to the upper method, then fold the snake body to grow 20-30 cm back, and dry it with the above method.

(2) processing. Stir-fried black snake with wine: take the original medicine to cut off the head and scales, cut it into sections, mix it with 20% liquor, soak up the wine, stir-fry until light yellow in the pan, remove and cool.

Multi-roll into a disc. The head is flat and inverted, slightly like the glans, with a plate in the center, with many spiny teeth in the mouth, and the eyes are large and shiny. The spine is towering in the shape of a roof ridge, commonly known as the sword ridge. The tail is gradually elongated, commonly known as the wire tail, inserted into the abdominal cavity of the outer edge. All black, the surface is covered with rhombohedral fine scales, no luster. Tough, slightly fishy, slightly salty.

In addition, there are also goods without skin, yellowish-white, only with snakeskin on the head and tail.

② commodity specification

Sub-leather and non-leather two specifications, are unified goods. It is better to have a complete body, black skin and yellow flesh, angled back, solid body and no odor.

(3) Packaging and storage

Packed in a wooden case or tile cylinder, stored in a dry place to prevent mildew and moth, or stored in a wooden box with pepper in a cool and dry place.
