Last Updated: 2024/11/22, Jujube mania is a destructive disease, which should be prevented. It is very popular in jujube producing areas in China. Once the disease occurred, there were few results in the second year, even if the results lost their edible value, and the whole plant died 3-4 years later. The main results are as follows: 1. the main reason for the occurrence of jujube wind disease is the invasion of mycoplastids. Bacteroid plastids can be transmitted by grafting. Jujube mania is a destructive disease, which should be prevented. It is very popular in jujube producing areas in China. Once the disease occurred, there were few results in the second year, even if the results lost their edible value, and the whole plant died 3-4 years later.

I. causes of jujube madness

The main cause of jujube wind disease is the invasion of mycoplastids. Bacteroid plastids can be transmitted by grafting. Under natural conditions, the natural grafting of roots between plants can also spread, and some leafhoppers are also disseminators of mycoplastids.

II. Comprehensive prevention and control measures

1. Breeding disease-resistant varieties, such as long red jujube and round red jujube.

2. Select disease-free mother trees, scions, rootstocks and cultivate disease-free seedlings to eradicate diseased plants and roots in time and prevent infection.

3. Jujube-grain intercropping should be carried out as far as possible in jujube producing areas to avoid contact between diseased plants and healthy roots, so as to prevent the spread of diseases.

4. Reasonable girdling can prevent the pathogen from running in the tree.

5. Before flowering and after flowering, jujube trees were sprayed with 1000 times of dimethoate EC and 25% wettable powder, respectively, to kill the leafhopper.

6. Using a hand saw horizontal ring saw trunk with a depth of 1 mm of xylem for a week, with an interval of 30 cm to 50 cm, sawing 4 or 5 times, can prevent the pathogen from spreading.

If the disease is mild, after cutting off the arbuscular branches, tetracycline, oxytetracycline and other antibiotics are injected into the xylem, which has a therapeutic effect, but cannot be eradicated, and should be injected again when it relapses.
