A new variety of big peach: red hibiscus
Red hibiscus giant peach is a mid-late ripening variety. The florescence in Beijing can be picked in mid-late April and early August, and the whole growth period is about 110 days. The storage resistance is very strong, the picked peaches can be put at normal temperature for 20 days, not spoiled, not rotten, the most suitable for long-distance transportation. The peach fruit is particularly large, with an average fruit weight of 420g and a maximum of 1210 g. The appearance is gorgeous, the fruit is nearly round and flat-topped after ripening, the suture is obvious, the peach hair falls off naturally, and the fruit surface is pink. The flesh is milky white with dense flesh, hard solute, strong wild peach flavor, sweet taste and crisp peach. The sugar content of the fruit is 14.8%, 18%, free from the kernel and thick in meat.
In addition, the planting is simple and adaptable, and experimental bases can be carried out in mountain areas, hilly lands, black soil, clay, loess and sandy land, and the best results are sandy soil and loess. It is easy to manage, the tree potential grows fast, the branch angle is half open, the branch rate is high, it is easy to shape and prune, and all kinds of branches are easy to form flower buds. The self-flowering and fruiting ability is strong, and the fruit of young trees is mainly medium-long fruit branches. After planting in the first year, it can blossom and bear fruit in the second year, and the plant yield is 10-20 jin. The result of small batch in the third year is 50-100 jin per plant, which can be planted in close planting properly.
