Comparison of five varieties of wrinkled Pepper
In order to screen and breed the local fine varieties of wrinkled pepper and promote the development of the traditional industry of wrinkled pepper in Duyun. With the support of Qiannan Prefecture Director's Fund, Duyun vegetable Station conducted a comparative screening experiment of wrinkled pepper varieties in Shazhai Township, which is known as "the hometown of chili" from March to November 2006.
1 materials and methods
1.1 there were 5 tested varieties, all of which were local varieties. That is, ① Sandu week Qin line pepper; ② Guiding monkey field line pepper; ③ Dushan hemp tail line pepper; ④ Duyun horse farm line pepper; ⑤ Duyun Shazhai line pepper (CK).
1.2 the experimental site is located in Jijing formation, Shazhai Village, Shazhai Township, Duyun City, with an altitude of 850m, an average annual temperature of 16.2 ℃, an annual rainfall of 1226mm and a warm and humid climate. The experimental field is dry sloping land, yellow sand loam, the soil is slightly acidic, medium fertility, formerly used as rape.
1.3The experiment was designed with randomized block arrangement, 5 varieties and 3 repeats. There were 15 plots, each plot area 16.5m2, plant row spacing 40cmx50cm, 72 litters per plot. Cell spacing 70cm, surrounded by protection lines.
1.4 in the field management experiment, the seeds were soaked on March 7, 2006, washed and dried for 12 hours, and then germinated in an incubator. It was sown on March 14, planted on April 11 and planted in the field on May 15. Before planting, 19500 kg of farm manure and 13:17:15 900kg of western compound fertilizer were applied as base fertilizer. Three times of fertilization were applied in the field, 22500 kg per hectare of manure on May 31, ammonium nitrate 1500kg per hectare on June 21, and oil-withered 4500kg per hectare on July 3, respectively. The soil was ploughed once on May 3, June 11 and July 3 respectively. The seedlings were treated with enemy kill + agricultural streptomycin, aphid death + anti-virus star to control diseases and insect pests twice respectively. The field period is on May 16, May 21, May 30, June 4, June 17, June 25, July 2, July 7, July 11, July 16, July 23, July 29. Pesticides such as Metalaxyl Copper, Chlorothalonil, Dysen Zinc, Agricultural Streptomycin, Chlorothalonil, Chlorothalonil and other pesticides were used to control diseases and insect pests for 12 times.
1.5 yield measurement and agronomic characters investigation after the wrinkled pepper turned red, the fresh fruit was collected, weighed and recorded in the plot yield. Five plants were randomly selected from each plot to determine the plant characters. In the peak harvest period, 15 hot pepper horns were randomly selected from each variety to determine the economic characters of the products.
2 results and analysis
2.1 the growth period can be seen from Table 1:
2.1.1 growth period. The growth period of varieties ②, ③ and ④ was 276 days, which was 11 days longer than that of CK. ① was the same as CK, which was 265 days.
2.1.2 emergence stage. The variety ① was the same as CK, the variety ③ was 2 days later than CK, and the variety ④ was 4 days later than CK.
2.1.3 the initial flowering stage. The variety ① was the same as CK, the initial flowering stage of ② and ③ was 3 days later than that of CK, and that of ④ was 7 days later than that of CK.
2.1.4 the initial period of harvest. The variety ① was the same as CK, while the varieties ②, ③ and ④ were 4 days later than CK.
2.2 Plant characters
2.2.1 Plant type. The order of plant types from compact to loose is ① > ② > ③ > ④ > CK.
2.2.2 the number of pods per plant. The number of pods per plant from high to low is ④ > ③ > ① > CK > ②.
2.2.3 weight of fresh pepper per pod. The order of pod weight of fresh pepper from high to low is CK > ④ > ② > ①, ③.
2.2.4 the thickness of horn meat. The order of the thickness of horn meat from thick to thin is CK > ② > ④ > ③ > ①.
2.2.5 the horn of pepper is long. The order of pepper horn length from long to short is ④ > CK > ③ > ② > ①.
2.2.6 angular die diameter. The order of pepper horn from coarse to fine is CK > ④ > ② > ① > ③.
The yield of variety ① is 16364kg lower than that of CK, which is 16364kg lower than that of CK, the yield of variety ② is 1697.Okg lower than that of CK, the yield of variety ② is 1697.Okg lower than that of CK, and the yield of variety ③ is lower than that of CK. The plot yield of variety ④ was 49.7kg, and the yield per unit area was 10040.4kg/hm2, which was higher than that of CK by 161.6kg per hectare. The order of yield of the five tested varieties from high to low is ④ > CK > ① > ③ > ②.
3 summary
The five varieties tested were bright red to deep red in color and resistant to disease, and no bacterial wilt and root rot occurred in the test. From the comparison of comprehensive characters, the variety ④, that is, Duyun Horse Farm, has higher yield, higher 161.6kg per hectare than the control, more pods per plant, longer pepper angle, thicker horn meat and better commercial characters, but the plant type is loose, which is suitable for planting under climatic conditions in Shazhai Township. Variety ⑤, that is, Duyun Shazhai line pepper has high yield, thick horned meat and dark red color, which is suitable for planting under climatic conditions in Shazhai township. Duyun horse farm line pepper and Duyun Shazhai line pepper can be used as local excellent line pepper varieties for further purification and rejuvenation, and in the purification and rejuvenation work in the coming year, it is important to select a single plant with compact plant type and many pods as various plants. The varieties ①, ② and ③, that is, Sandu Zhou Qin line pepper, Guiding monkey field line pepper and Dushan hemp tail line pepper, were planted under the climate and soil conditions of Shazhai township, the pepper horn was short, the pepper meat was thin, and the yield was low, so it should be eliminated.
