According to Jiangsu Academy of Agricultural Sciences, Yangmai 15, a new variety bred by Lixiahe Institute of Agricultural Sciences, was rated as "super wheat" and included in the national "four super crops development framework".
According to Cheng Shunhe, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and chief expert of the Yangzhou Branch of the National Wheat improvement Center, super wheat refers to a wheat variety with a breakthrough in yield on the basis of the comprehensive goal of high yield, high quality and high efficiency. different from the traditional high-yield breeding, it is the development direction of wheat production in China to pursue the saving and efficient utilization of water, fertilizer, light and heat resources. At present, China has formed a medium-and long-term research and development framework for four super varieties of rice, wheat, corn and soybean. Yangmai 15 is a new wheat variety with high yield, high quality and weak gluten, which is suitable for producing special flour for high quality biscuits and cakes. The field yield measurement of this variety by relevant experts shows that the average yield per mu in Yangmai 15 demonstration area is 559.7 kg, and it has strong comprehensive resistance and great potential to increase production in the later stage, which meets the needs of the construction of superior industrial belt of high quality and weak gluten wheat in the lower reaches of the Yangtze River.
