Pond reconstruction
Transform ponds from small ponds to big ponds and shallow ponds to deep ponds during the winter leisure season. After the transformation, it can not only increase the water capacity of the pond, but also improve the pond environment. The ponds with good conditions should also be renovated, drain the water, dig out the thick silt (keep about 10 cm) after exposure to the sun, eradicate weeds and strengthen the ridges.
Pond disinfection
The repaired pond should be cleaned and sterilized with medicine. Commonly used disinfection drugs are quicklime, bleach and so on. However, the disinfection effect of quicklime is the best, it can also play the role of fertilization, and pond cleaning disinfection should be carried out in sunny days. Dry pond disinfection per mu with 100-150 kg of quicklime, or 10 kg of bleach, after dissolving water, sprinkle evenly throughout the pond.
Rational stocking
The appropriate stocking quantity and the proportion of fish species should be determined according to the stocking experience of the previous year and the supply conditions of fertilizer and water, bait and feeding methods in the pond. The traditional stocking patterns in Chengdu are as follows: 100,150 silver carp, 20-30 flower silver carp, 200,300 grass carp and 500 crucian carp per mu, or another stocking method for silver carp, 25 flower silver carp, 100,150 grass carp and 1000 crucian carp.
Early release of fish species
Early release of fish species can make fish adapt to the new living environment early, eat early, grow earlier, and relatively prolong the growth period. Generally speaking, it is the best time to release fish from the Winter Solstice to the Beginning of Spring, because during this period, the air temperature and water temperature are relatively low, the scales of fish are tight, and it is not easy to hurt fish in fishing and stocking operation, which can reduce the morbidity and mortality of fish species. The release of fish species should be carried out in sunny or cloudy days when the temperature is not too low. In rainy days where the temperature is too low, or in snow, freezing or windy weather, fish are easy to frostbite and should not be stocked.
Fish seed quality
The qualified fish species put in is an important condition for high and stable yield of adult fish. The size of the fish species should be large, not small, generally requiring one-year-old fish with small head and wide back, fat body, complete scale fins, swimming lively, bright body color, disease-free and injury-free.
Disinfection immunity
Fish species should be disinfected by drug immersion for 5-10 minutes when they go into the pond. The drugs are potassium permanganate 30-40 g / cubic water, or salt 3-4%, or trichlorfon 8 g / cubic water. Grass carp and other fish species can be vaccinated with better results.
Feeding and management
As the saying goes, "three points of stocking, seven points of management".
