What method does chicken use to watch the sky and kneel on the ground?
In the course of production, some chickens are often encountered with strange postures: the first is to look back and look at the sky. The second is to walk on your knees. What disease does the chicken suffer from in these two postures and what method is used to treat it?
The first strange posture: tilt your head back and watch the sky with both eyes. The chicken suffers from VB1 deficiency. VB1, also known as thiamine, is necessary for carbohydrate metabolism in chickens. Nerve tissue depends on carbohydrate oxidation to provide energy, such as lack of VB1, its nerve tissue due to insufficient energy supply, there will be neurotrophic disorders, leading to dysfunction, sick chickens show polyneuritis. VBl deficiency can also slow down intestinal peristalsis, intestinal wall relaxation, loss of appetite and growth stagnation. VBl deficiency can occur in chickens of all ages, but it is more common in chicks and young chickens. The sick chicken has weak legs and unstable gait. Due to peripheral nerve inflammation, its head is extremely bent back, and its shape is like looking at the sky. Prevention and treatment: first, adequate supply of VBl in the diet of chickens, adding 0.8mg to 0.9mg per kilogram of feed for young and adult chickens, and 1.5mg for chicks per kilogram of feed to prevent the occurrence of the disease; second, intramuscular injection of thiazol 5mg (the amount of a chicken) once a day for five to seven days, the treatment effect is excellent.
The second strange posture: the chicken walks on its knees, that is, when it walks, it hits the ground with hocks and its wings spread out, like an acrobat walking a tightrope to maintain its balance. This is because he suffers from VB2 deficiency. VB2, also known as riboflavin, is a component of a variety of enzymes involved in redox reactions in chickens, which is closely related to the metabolism of protein, fat and carbohydrates. VB2 also plays an important role in regulating cell respiration and redox. If lacking, it will affect the normal progress of biological oxidation, resulting in metabolic disorders in the body. In addition to the peculiar walking posture, another major sign of VB2 deficiency in diseased chickens is that their toes are bent and curled inward. Prevention and treatment: first, adding appropriate amount of yeast, skimmed milk and alfalfa powder to chicken rations can prevent the occurrence of the disease; second, for sick chickens, 4 mg VB2 per kilogram is added to the feed for 7 to 15 days, and a better therapeutic effect can be obtained.

How to add vitamins to chickens scientifically and reasonably
1. When chickens have stress response (such as vaccination, transfer, etc.), 10% more vitamins A, E, D, C should be added. 2. When chickens have chronic diseases (such as chronic respiratory diseases), they should also add 10% more vitamins A, E and C. 3. For chicks, the lower the vitamin A content in the feed, the higher the incidence of coccidiosis in chickens. Therefore, when chickens suffer from coccidiosis, 20% vitamin A, K and C should be added to the feed. 4. When chickens have fatty liver syndrome

New manifestations of Pig epidemic
With the development of pig industry in China, the gradual increase of exotic pig breeds and the continuous improvement of the degree of intensive production have led to new changes in the epidemic situation of pig disease, which should be paid enough attention to. 1. With the influx of many foreign pig breeds, new diseases are coming one after another. In 2001, porcine eperythrozoonosis was prevalent, in 2002, porcine blue ear disease was prevalent, and in the second half of 2002, ringed Z virus broke out. 2. the seasonality of the epidemic of the disease is gradually diluted.
