Many people who raise cattle for the first time or come to Shandong Province to buy cattle will worry about what to do if the newly bought beef cattle are not satisfied due to different environments, changes in climate, environment, feed, and long journeys. The following suggestions are given to cattle-raising friends in a farm:

Beef cattle

1. When the beef cattle arrive at their destination, they should unload the cattle in an open and flat ground with a cattle unloading platform. Never unload cattle near ponds or sewers, otherwise beef cattle will jump into ponds or drink sewage due to long-distance transport thirst, causing injury or illness.

2. after getting off the bus, let the beef cattle have a full rest, drink boiled water or warm water in the first three days, first let the intestines and stomach slow down, add some iodized salt in the drinking water, drink light salt water, feed high-quality hay, and then feed a certain amount of bran skin water. Feed heat-clearing and detoxification, anti-cold, stomach-invigorating Chinese herbal medicine. After 3 days, when the spirit of the cow slowly recovers, it can be allowed to eat green hay freely and feed about 1 kg of concentrate every day.

3. One week later, the animals were treated with deworming and stomach-invigorating, and the cattle were vaccinated after full recovery. At first, beef cattle should be fed with cattle source feed, and then slowly transferred to local feed (the transition period is about 1 week). In fact, cattle, like other animals, need to be taken care of carefully. As long as cattle farmers pay attention to details when feeding cattle, cattle will not be dissatisfied with soil and water.

4. If tethered, beef cattle can be divided into groups according to their size and strength. Beef cattle from the same area and the same batch had better be tied together. After being transferred to normal feeding, we should focus on the heat prevention of beef cattle purchased from the north, and keep the barn ventilated, cool and dry. Do not let cattle live in a humid, muggy environment, especially the cow bed, must be kept dry, otherwise it is easy to cause cow disease and affect growth.

5. If you do have diarrhea, quickly inject anti-inflammatory injection (taking anti-inflammatory medicine is also OK), or add mineral powder to beef feed and mix well for cattle to eat.
