Last Updated: 2024/11/05, Doing a good job in the management of spring tea is the key to ensure a bumper tea harvest throughout the year. Practice has proved that the implementation of "ten early morning" technology in spring tea management has a very good effect. First, apply base fertilizer early. After the end of the tea season, base fertilizer was applied early to supplement the nutrients lost by the growth of tea in that year, so as to make the tree have sufficient nutrient reserves, enhance the activities of tea trees in autumn and winter, strengthen the ability of photosynthesis, and improve the cold resistance of overwintering, so as to facilitate the early growth and growth of spring tea in the following year. The base fertilizer should be applied before the fast-growing period of the Autumn Equinox's root system, no later than the end of September at the latest. Mainly organic fertilizer, adult age

Doing a good job in the management of spring tea is the key to ensure a bumper tea harvest throughout the year.

The amount of fertilizer applied to the young tea garden was halved when 3000 kg of rotten organic fertilizer or more than 200kg of cake fertilizer was applied per mu of mature tea garden, and 25 kg of phosphorus and potassium fertilizer were applied together.

Second, early autumn ploughing. Combined with the application of base fertilizer in autumn, the deep ploughing of the soil between tea rows can improve the water permeability and air permeability of the soil, strengthen the water conservation system, promote the germination of new roots of tea trees, and enhance the frost resistance of tea trees and the normal development of overwintering tea. The depth of loosening soil is about 25 cm, the width is 30cm to 40cm, and the tea line is deep in the middle and shallow near the crown.

Third, spray stone and sulfur mixture in the morning. After closing the garden in late autumn and early winter, withered branches, fallen leaves and weeds were cleared out of the garden. When the temperature dropped below 15 ℃, the tea garden was sprayed with Baume 0.3% 0.5 degree stone sulfur mixture twice to enhance the cold resistance of tea trees and kill overwintering bacteria and eggs at the same time.

Fourth, early withdrawal of protective materials. In order to prevent the occurrence of advection frost in winter, in the middle of November every year, the wind barrier is 20 to 30 centimeters higher than the tea shed on the north side of the tea shed. Sprinkle grass on the tea shed, these protective materials will be removed in time after the temperature rises in the next spring (early March), so as to facilitate the management of the tea garden as soon as possible.

Fifth, loosen the soil early. After the tea garden is idle in winter and the effect of rain and snow, the soil is more consolidated and the ground temperature is lower. After removing the protective materials, it is necessary to loosen the soil between the tea rows in time, the general depth of the loosening soil is 5cm and 7cm, and the soil is fine and flat when loosening the soil, so as to improve the ground temperature and promote the early germination of tea trees.

6. Early pruning. In mid-March, light pruning is carried out from "the Spring Equinox" to "Qingming Festival". Generally, only 3 cm and 5 cm of the crown is cut off. Cut off frost injury, diseased leaves and chicken claw branches to flatten the crown, control the tree width, promote balanced and orderly germination, increase production and improve quality, and facilitate tea picking.

7. Spray tea trees early. Spraying tea trees before sprouting in spring can break dormancy as soon as possible, advance the mining period of spring tea by 4-7 days, and increase the yield of spring tea by 17-20%. Generally in the first ten days of March, use 20 to 25 grams per mu, spray 45 to 50 grams of water, and be sure to fully dissolve before spraying.

Eighth, apply budding fertilizer in the morning. Sprouting fertilizer was applied in late March, mainly quick-acting fertilizer. Fertilizer ditches with a depth of 15 cm and a width of 15 cm were opened vertically along the edge of the crown. 75 kg of ammonium bicarbonate or 30 kg of urea were applied per mu, combined with phosphorus and potassium fertilizer, and the ratio of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium was 3.5.

9. Pour sprouting water early. Budding water should be combined with budding fertilizer. Before the Qingming Festival, the tea garden should be watered and thoroughly watered. After watering, shallow ploughing and loosening soil is carried out between tea rows, which is beneficial to preserve soil moisture and improve soil temperature.

Pick tea early. Generally speaking, when more than 5% of the new buds in the spring tea shed reach the picking standard of one bud and one leaf, it is necessary to pick the buds in time, in batches and early, so as to promote the continuous germination of spring tea, which is an effective measure for tea to obtain high quality and high efficiency.
