The cuckoo turned the basin.
General potted rhododendron needs to turn the pot after 2 to 3 years. With the growth of the plant, the growth of the root is limited, and the nutrient elements in the cultivation medium are gradually exhausted, which needs to be turned over.
Before potting, according to the size and growth of seedlings, choose a suitable flowerpot, do not transplant small seedlings into large pots, so that the moisture is not easy to control, easy to make seedlings grow poorly. When using the new basin, you need to soak in potassium permanganate solution for half an hour to remove sundries, eggs and alkaline substances. After cleaning, put a sand net on the bottom of the basin to prevent some underground pests such as sesame oil insects and mole crickets from drilling into the bottom hole. Then, put a tile on the sand net to cover part of the bottom hole, then obliquely cover it with the other half, and cover the other part of the bottom hole to form an arch. In this way, it is not easy to plug the bottom hole of the flowerpot. In the future, when you encounter a thunderstorm or watering, the excess water can flow out from the bottom hole of the flowerpot without causing stagnant water. For some plants that are afraid of waterlogging, you can also put more pumice (volcanic stone) on it as a drainage layer to increase drainage and ventilation. It is worth noting that if only one broken tile is used to cover all the bottom holes, it will lose the role of the bottom holes, which is not conducive to ventilation, and is easy to cause stagnant water in the basin, root hypoxia, and cause rotting roots.
Then, put the original flowerpot obliquely, hold the flowerpot with the left hand, and put the thumb of the right hand into the bottom hole of the flowerpot to push the mud out. Remove about 1/3 of the old soil, and trim part of the old roots and branches. Put the poured azaleas into the center of the new basin, straighten the roots evenly, slowly add nutritious soil, and gently press the roots with your fingers, so that the roots are closely connected with the soil, and the soil should not be too high. Add it to 2 cm to 3 cm below the mouth of the basin, which is conducive to watering in the future.
After putting on the basin, the water should be watered thoroughly for the first time, so that all the cultivation media in the basin can absorb enough water. It is suggested that the "soaking pot method" should be adopted, and the whole flowerpot should be placed in a pot filled with water for 15 to 20 minutes. After the soil is wet, place the flowerpot in the outdoor shade for 2 weeks, and pay attention to spraying water on the leaves to increase the humidity of the environment and reduce the evaporation of water in branches and leaves. To be taken after the pot period, transferred to normal maintenance.
If the following conditions are found in the cuckoo maintenance, the basin can be turned over:
① when there are roots in the bottom hole of the flowerpot, it shows that the root system has been covered with flowerpots.
After ② watering, there was water in the basin, there was white foam in the water, and the water could not flow out from the bottom hole, and there were signs of whitening around the flowerpot, indicating that the soil was hardened and the medium was alkaline with high salt content.
③ plants grow fast, out of proportion to the pots, and appear to be top-heavy.
The uplift of ④ basin soil indicates that the growth of root system has been restricted.
With the growth of the plant, ⑤ can propagate separately.

Charcoal production and control of Rhododendron crenatum
Stephanitis scott. Hemiptera is a family of insects, distributed very widely, azalea flowers are the main pests. Its host plants are Rhododendron and Pieris, which seriously affect the growth, reproduction and ornamental value of the two genera of flowers. 1. Harm symptoms Rhododendron crown net bug mainly damages the leaves of host plants with nymph and adult, absorbs juice, excretes feces, makes the back of the leaves appear rusty yellow, needle white spots appear on the front of the leaves, and seriously makes the whole leaves lose green and pale, affecting the plant.

Tissue Culture and cultivation Management techniques of Rhododendron
It is not easy for rhododendron to breed and breed as a kind of high-grade flower in North China. Mainly because most of the soils in North China are alkaline, and rhododendrons like typical acidic soils, so they have some difficulties in reproduction and planting, so they can only be used as greenhouse flowers. There are several kinds of rhododendron reproduction, such as sowing, cutting, striping and grafting, tissue culture and so on. Tissue culture does not need seeds, just use the stem tips of the current-year branches of rhododendron. A large number of small rhododendron seedlings can be cultured in test tube in a very short time, and it is not limited by the season.
