Variety source: Mian 91-316/87S64-42 hybrid combination was selected by systematic breeding.

Characteristics: the variety has stable characters, early spring maturity, the whole growth period is 180 days, equivalent to Mianyang 26, strong tillering ability, strong growth; plant height 83 cm, panicle tapered, long awn, average spike 37 grains, white grain, horny, 1000-grain weight 43.4 grams, good color conversion and yellowing, easy threshing.

The disease resistance was identified by the Institute of Plant Protection of Sichuan Academy of Agricultural Sciences: moderately resistant to stripe rust; urban tests showed high resistance to powdery mildew and light susceptibility to scab.

Tested by the grain and products quality supervision, inspection and testing center of the Ministry of Agriculture (Harbin), the results are as follows: crude protein 13.4%, wet gluten 31.4%, sedimentation value 23.5ml, water absorption 64.0%, stability time 3.0min, maximum anti-extension resistance 210E.U, area 48.6cm2, belonging to medium gluten.

Yield performance: in the wheat regional test in Chongqing from 2001 to 2002, the combination had an average yield of 260.1 kg per mu in two years, an increase of 6.26% over the control Mianyang 26, and an average yield of 289.1 kg per mu in the production test in 2003, an increase of 11.4% over the control Mianyang 26.

The main points of cultivation techniques are as follows: 1. Sowing from November 1 to 10, either nest sowing or strip sowing, the amount of seeds per mu is 6-7.5kg, net planting row spacing is 23.3 × 16.7cm, intercropping specification 100cm box, 3 row wheat, wheat width 60cm or 200cm box, 5 row wheat, wheat width 120cm. 2. Fertilization: nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium formula fertilization, pure nitrogen 8-10 kg per mu, pure phosphorus 15-20 kg, pure potassium 5 kg, heavy bottom and early topdressing, 80% base fertilizer, 20% topdressing, topdressing when wheat seedlings are in one heart. 3. Field management: do a good job in ditching and drainage in dry fields, use chemical herbicides to weed once before three leaves after sowing, and pay attention to control stripe rust, scab and aphids at panicle stage.
