Taxus mairei is mainly distributed in Changbai Mountain and Heilongjiang in Jilin Province, and a small amount in the mountainous area of eastern Liaoning. Taxus yunnanensis is mainly distributed in 16 counties in western Yunnan and prefecture with a total area of about 90,000 square kilometers, which is characterized by wide distribution, scattered growth, no pure forest and mostly scattered trees in the forest. Taxus mairei is mainly distributed in pure forests in eastern, southwestern and eastern Yunnan, mostly scattered trees in the forest. It is also distributed in western Jiangxi (Yifeng, Tonggu region). Xizang yew is mainly distributed in northwest Yunnan, south and southeast of Xizang.

Taxus chinensis var. chinensis (PILGER) ROHD
Taxus chinensis var. mairei (T.CHINENSISVARMAIREI (LEMEEETL'EVL) CHENGETL.K.FU) is mainly distributed in pure forests of eastern, southwestern and eastern Yunnan, and the others are mostly scattered trees in the forest.
Taxus mairei is a hybrid variety introduced in China at the end of the 20th century. Its mother is T.CUSPIDATA. The male parent is Taxus mairei (.T.BACCDFA). It has a history of only 80 years in the United States and Canada. Taxus mairei is mostly shrub type, because it can only grow into shrubs, not trees, so it is a good variety of greening.

Rhododendron paniculata
