Cuckoos like cool, humid and well-ventilated environments. However, due to the influence of temperature, light, humidity and other conditions in the northern region, the cuckoo has to undergo some tests in the northern summer, and many diseases may accumulate in one body, and the leaves will fall and die, so how can it survive the hot summer smoothly? It is necessary to grasp the following points:

Ventilated northern cuckoos spend the winter in greenhouses, and the temperature is rising with the advent of spring. In early April, the indoor temperature can reach about 28 ℃ at noon. It is time for ventilation, otherwise there will be some refractory diseases, especially deciduous disease. A little tuyere can be opened at the top of the greenhouse, and then it will increase gradually with the increase of temperature. When the temperature outside is not less than 10 ℃ at night, the whole plastic film can be removed, leaving only the shade net.

Shade in late March, there is already enough light at noon in the north, and the leaves near the front of the plastic will be burned and turn reddish brown. Cover the shade net in time at this time. Open it sooner or later and cover it at noon when the light is strong. Increase the shading time day by day, no need to cover on cloudy and rainy days. This layer of shading net can be laid along with the frame of the greenhouse and pressed with a pressing line. Two layers of shading nets can be put up at the end of May to achieve more than 75% of summer shading. This layer net can be fixed parallel to the ground with thin wire in the air, which can not only shade but also increase ventilation conditions, making the environment in the network cooler.

With the advent of spring, the water demand of rhododendron is gradually increasing. In mid-April, you can water it once a day on a sunny day and look for water individually. In the middle of May, you can water it once a day and spray it again. After June, in addition to having to pour permeable water once a day, it is often necessary to spray water frequently to increase humidity and cool down, keeping the temperature between 15 ℃ and 25 ℃, and the air relative humidity is about 70%. As the plastic film has been removed at this time, there is generally no possibility of illness due to heavy water and lack of ventilation. This is a good environment for cuckoos to grow in summer.

The above three points are the main conditions. For the rest, if the discharge is not too dense and there is no water in the basin, alum fertilizer water can be applied once a month, and ferrous sulfate can be added in the middle. The concentration can be in the range of 3% to 5%. It can be foliar spray or root irrigation. In addition, triclofenac can be mixed with 1000 times of chlorothalonil and sprayed once every 20 days to ensure that the plants are healthy and disease-free, so that cuckoos can spend the summer safely.
