Grass rhododendron
Portulaca oleracea is also called Scutellaria barbata, dragon beard, peony, grass rhododendron, golden rhododendron and so on, and it is often called "immortal" because people pick its fresh, succulent stems and leaves and expose them in the sun. Portulaca oleracea belongs to Portulaca of Portulaca family. Annual herbs, warm, dry, light-resistant, shady-intolerant, heat-resistant, adaptable and easy to plant. You should not water too much during the growth period. Thin and fat can be recovered during flowering. If at the same time combined with heart, promote branching, the flowers will be more dense. After sowing or cutting for the summer and autumn flowering period, the peel-like shade fruit matures, the lid is cracked, and small silver-gray, crescent-shaped seeds are scattered. The whole herb of Portulaca oleracea contains purslane aldehyde (C20H32O4), which is a substance that regulates plant growth. Stems and flowers contain beet anthocyanins, mainly betaside, and aglycone is betaine. Bitter, cold. Clearing heat and detoxification, promoting blood circulation and dispersing blood stasis, reducing swelling and relieving pain. Treat sore throat, scald, fall injury, wet sore. External use: mash juice, gargle or mash. If you mash Portulaca oleracea and gargle with borax powder, you can treat sore throat; mash the juice and smear the affected area to treat infantile eczema; smash and apply it to treat damp-heat rotten skin sores.
