By the beginning of 2007, Chun'an County had planted 53000 mu (1 mu = 667m ~ 2) of clonal early raw tea, and 38000 mu had been put into production. there are still 15000 mu still need to strengthen drought resistance and seedling protection, in order to improve the survival rate as the goal of management. In recent years, Chun'an County has accelerated the development pace of clonal early tea. By the beginning of 2007, Chun'an County had planted 53,000 mu of clonal early tea (1 mu =667 square meters, the same below), 38,000 mu had been put into production, and 15,000 mu still needed to strengthen drought resistance and seedling protection, so as to improve the survival rate as the goal of management. Especially for tea plantations planted last winter and this spring, the following measures must be taken to protect seedlings.

1. Paving grass in time can keep water and cool down, loosen soil, and is the key technology of drought resistance. It is best to mow and spread the grass before mildew, and it will be better if you can spread it early. More than 1000 kilograms of grass are laid per mu of tea garden. Spread on both sides of the tea row, more than 10 cm thick.

2. Weeding and seedling protection weeds in the tea line should compete with tea seedlings for fertilizer and glory, and must be removed in time. Available hand pull out, but not moving the soil, pull out the grass time best before and after the mold season, shall not use glyphosate.

3. Thin fertilizer and frequent application of tea garden root and long leaves consume a lot of nutrients, although the base fertilizer has been applied at the time of planting, but the tea seedlings have not been absorbed and utilized in that year, so a small amount of fertilizer must be applied in time and many times. After the tea seedlings survive, it is generally required to fertilize once every half month. Start with 10% water manure irrigation, after June, apply once a month, apply tea fertilizer 10kg or urea 5kg per mu, dig a hole 6cm away from the tea bush.

4. Watering drought resistance into the summer dry season, every half month watering enough water once. The amount of watering per mu shall not be less than 3000 kg, so as to replenish water in time to moisten the soil at the root of tea tree; it is best to sprinkle irrigation with sprinkler irrigation where conditions permit. Watering and sprinkling should be carried out before 9 am or after sunset.

5. Young tea plants are most vulnerable to small green leafhopper, mites harm. Discovered diseases and insect pests should be prevented and controlled in time, 35% Saidan 50~ 70ml per mu, or 10% imidacloprid 15~ 20mg, or 20% tetramite 50~ 70ml spray on water.
