Improvement of Survival rate of intercropping between Soybean and Taxus
Recently, 2.46 million cutting seedlings of Taxus mairei cultivated in a yew nursery in you County, Zhuzhou, Hunan Province, grew rapidly in Tongshan Village, Yajiangqiao Town, Zhuzhou County, and passed expert acceptance at the end of August. The new seedling raising method of "intercropping with soybean" tested in the nursery increased the survival rate of Taxus seedlings to more than 95%.

At present, under the guidance of forestry experts, the nursery makes full use of the free resting space between the rows of yew seedlings to plant soybeans, bean roots to increase biological nitrogen for yew rooting, and improve the soil, and bean seedlings shade tree seedlings, so that the survival rate of Taxus seedlings increased by more than 20%.
At the same time, in addition to breeding a large number of Taxus mairei seedlings, the nursery also cultivated more than 4 million Taxus mairei seedlings, which can create more than 30,000 mu of ornamental forest and medicinal forest.
