After 5 years of efforts, Fujian Academy of Agricultural Sciences has successfully cultivated high-quality early indica rice-Jingfu 4a. Experts believe that this research achievement has reached the advanced level of similar international research.
This achievement was successfully cultivated by Zhou Tianli, a researcher at the Rice and Wheat Research Institute of Fujian Academy of Agricultural Sciences, and his research team. The application of Jingfu 4a in the preparation of early hybrid combinations can greatly improve the quality of early hybrid rice in China.
According to relevant experts, in China, for quite a long time, there are few high-quality male sterile lines used to prepare early hybrid combinations, which can not meet the production demand. In the past five years, Zhou Tianli's research group has successfully cultivated a new early-maturing and high-yielding male sterile line Jingfu 4a by using scientific methods and repeated screening. At the recent appraisal meeting, experts believed that the quality of Jingfu 4a male sterile line was good. Tested by the Rice and products quality Supervision and Inspection Center of the Ministry of Agriculture, 7 of the 12 indicators reached the first grade standard of high quality rice issued by the Ministry of Agriculture.
