This variety is a new medium indica variety with high quality, high yield and disease resistance introduced by Sande Company, Green Institute of Anhui Academy of Agricultural Sciences. In recent years, it has been planted in a large area in southern and northern Anhui and along the Huaihe River, showing the characteristics of both high quality and high yield, and has been listed as the first choice for the development of high quality rice. The whole growth period of this variety is 140 days, the general yield is 550 kg, and the high yield field can reach 600 kg. Plant height 120 cm, medium tillering ability, large panicle and many grains, total grains per panicle 145, 1000-grain weight 28.7 grams, seed setting rate 88%, disease resistance, planthopper resistance, good color at ripening stage, excellent rice quality, rice grain slender, careless white, no abdominal white. Seven indexes tested by the Rice quality Inspection and testing Center of the Ministry of Agriculture reached the first grade standard of high quality rice issued by the Ministry of Agriculture. It was listed as one of the three high-quality rice varieties of the 10 million project by the Provincial Committee of Agriculture in 2000. In the same year, he participated in the regional trial of high-quality rice in Anhui Province, and the average yield per mu was 528.2 kg, which was 0.36% higher than that of Shanyou 63, ranking second in the group. It was the only conventional high-quality rice variety that exceeded Shanyou 63.
