Last Updated: 2024/11/08, 1. Tetraploid large-leaved locust is an excellent variety selected from several excellent clones of polyploid locust introduced from abroad after many years of concentrated research and experimental comparison. Tetraploid large-leaf Robinia pseudoacacia is a kind of artificial mutation tetraploid plant. It has the characteristics of fast-growing, large-leaf and large biomass. Its leaf width is more than 2 times of that of common Robinia pseudoacacia, and its compound leaf dry weight, single leaf dry weight and total leaf dry weight are 1.5 times or more than that of common Robinia pseudoacacia respectively. Compared with common Robinia pseudoacacia, tetraploid Robinia pseudoacacia has thicker canopy, thicker branches and higher photosynthetic energy.

1. Tetraploid Robinia pseudoacacia is an excellent variety selected from many excellent clones of polyploid Robinia pseudoacacia introduced from abroad after years of painstaking research and experiments. Tetraploid Robinia pseudoacacia is an artificially induced tetraploid plant with fast growth, large leaves and large biomass. Its leaf width is more than 2 times that of common Robinia pseudoacacia. Compound leaf dry weight, single leaf dry weight and total leaf dry weight are 1.5 times or more than that of common Robinia pseudoacacia. Compared with common Robinia pseudoacacia, tetraploid Robinia pseudoacacia has thicker crown, stronger branches and stronger photosynthetic capacity.

The content of crude protein and crude fat of tetraploid Robinia pseudoacacia is very high, which is 118% and 126% of that of common Robinia pseudoacacia, respectively, which is very suitable for animal feed, and tetraploid Robinia pseudoacacia is very resistant to cutting and flat stubble, and can be used repeatedly with certain management techniques.

Tetraploid Robinia pseudoacacia is resistant to barren, and its roots can fix nitrogen, so it can be used as a pioneer tree species for greening barren hills and barren slopes, as well as excellent tree species for soil and water conservation in river basins and greening on four sides.

Second, the big-leaf fast-growing Robinia pseudoacacia is a new forage variety introduced from South Korea. It is a bean tree. After being recommended and harvested many times every year, it grows into clusters and grows in clusters. The leaves of Sophora japonica are wide and large, the total petiole length is 40 cm-55 cm, the leaf length is 8 cm-15 cm, and the width is 5 cm-8 cm. The leaf length and width are 3-5 times that of common Robinia pseudoacacia. The leaf is thick, and the dry weight of single leaf is 4-6 times that of common Robinia pseudoacacia. Do not bear seeds, reproduce with roots.

The fast-growing Robinia pseudoacacia with large leaves is cold-resistant and drought-tolerant, and can grow normally in areas with annual precipitation of more than 200 mm. However, if it is not resistant to flooding, the stagnant water in the roots will rot and die. It is not strict with soil, and grows fastest on sloping land, sand, clay, light saline-alkali land, and even on slag pile and loam for many years. The root has nodules, so it has the effect of fixing nitrogen to improve the soil. It likes light and is not resistant to shade.
