(1) Variety source: it was bred by using Mianfen No. 1 as female parent and Chaoshu No. 1 as male parent by the Institute of Sichuan Academy of Agricultural Sciences in 1988. The original line number is 8810-1. (2) characteristics: the variety is medium-ripe, short vine and creeping plant type. Purple parietal leaves, heart-shaped mature leaves, green with purple; tubers are spindle-shaped or block-shaped, skin reddish or yellow, heart color yellowish red with purplish halo. The average drying rate is 26.9%, the flour yield is 14.9%, and the large and medium potato rate is 80%.

(2) characteristics: the variety is medium-ripe, short vine and creeping plant type. Purple parietal leaves, heart-shaped mature leaves, green with purple; tubers are spindle-shaped or block-shaped, skin reddish or yellow, heart color yellowish red with purplish halo. The average drying rate is 26.9%, the flour yield is 14.9%, and the rate of large and medium potatoes is more than 80%. The quality of cooked food was good, the sprouting ability was good, and the resistance to black spot and storability of cooked food were better than those of Nanshu 88. It is a new variety of sweet potato for both feeding and eating.

(3) yield performance: the fresh potato yield of this variety is high. Through the provincial regional test in 1994-1995, the average yield of fresh potato per mu at 16 points is 2224.9 kg, which is 15.4% higher than that of Nanshu 88, which is 15.4% higher than that of Nanshu 88. Biological fresh yield is 3216.9 kg, 2.2% higher, biological dry yield 708.3 kg, 1.5% higher, starch 331.7 kg, 10.7% higher. Rattan leaves weighed 992.0 kilograms, reducing production by 18.7 percent. In 1996, five pilot production experiments in the province showed that the average yield of fresh potato per mu was 1533.9 kg, 14.6% higher than that of the control Nanshu 88 (each pilot increase); dried potato was 411.5 kg, an increase of 7.2%; and biological fresh yield was 2512.4 kg, a decrease of 7%. 4%; biological dry yield 528.9 kg, reduced 3.6%; starch 220.7 kg, increased 10.5% rattan leaf 978.5 kg, reduced yield 28.9%.
