Last Updated: 2024/11/05, Although quicklime and salt are not special fishery drugs, they are effective in preventing and controlling aquatic diseases, and do not pose a threat to the environment, and there is no problem of drug residues. Sprinkling quicklime into the aquaculture water regularly can not only reduce the occurrence of many diseases, but also provide the necessary calcium elements for cultured organisms, which is particularly important for crustacean aquaculture. Usage: choose quicklime without weathering, clean and disinfect the pond with 150 Mu of 200 kg per mu, and generally use it once every 20 days to prevent and control diseases.

Sprinkling quicklime regularly into aquaculture water can not only reduce the occurrence of various diseases, but also provide calcium essential for aquaculture organisms, especially for crustacean aquaculture. Use method: select unweathered quicklime, clear pond disinfection with 150 - 200 kg per mu; disease control is generally 5 - 9, 20 days or so to use once, water depth 1 meter with 15 - 20 kg per mu. Sprinkling quicklime and pond fertilization cannot be carried out at the same time, and the time interval is generally about 5 days; quicklime is not used at the same time with chlorine-containing disinfectants, and quicklime can only be used after 5 days of chlorine-containing disinfectants and pesticides; the pH value of water body is greater than 8, and quicklime is best not used.

Tea seed cake, also known as dried tea, tea cake, is a by-product of oil extraction from camellia seed. Because it contains a hemolytic saponin, it will kill all kinds of wild fish, frog eggs, tadpoles, leeches and snails, clams, mussels, etc. buried in the mud. At the same time, tea seed cake contains rich protein and a small amount of fat and a variety of amino acids and other nutrients, with tea seed cake pond disinfection, aquatic plants have a protective effect. During the cultivation period, tea seed cake can prevent fish bleeding disease, bacterial gill rot, red skin, enteritis and other diseases, kill pathogens and parasites (eggs) on fish body surface and fish gills, and promote shrimp and crab shelling. Use method: Select fresh, non-moldy block or crushed tea seed cake, soak it for 1 day and night when clearing the pond, sprinkle it with residue and juice, about 50kg per mu; prevent fish, shrimp and crab diseases, in April to October, use 5kg tea seed cake per mu at 1 meter depth, and step it into the mud around and in the center of the pond respectively.

Garlic and allicin Garlic and allicin have the effects of killing insects, eliminating stagnation, detoxifying pain, digestion, sterilization and stopping diarrhea. They have different degrees of inhibition on Gram-positive and negative bacteria, various fungi and certain viruses. Oral administration can promote intestinal motility and enhance appetite. Usage: Mash fresh garlic and mix it with feed, add garlic by 1%-3% of the weight of aquatic animals, or add allicin by 0.2%, and feed for 4-6 days. Garlicin can also be used to add water to the whole pool, and the dosage is 4 - 20 mg/L.

Salt at low concentrations can stimulate the growth of pathogens, but at high concentrations it can inhibit the growth of pathogens, prevent and cure uterine nematodes disease, various skin or gill parasitic diseases caused by protozoa parasitism, fungal diseases caused by water mold and some bacterial diseases. Usage: Mainly use crude salt in aquatic products. 2%-5% solution for aquaculture animals for 15 - 20 minutes, can prevent a variety of parasites on the body surface and gills; the internal dosage is 25 - 50 grams per kilogram of feed. The length of the immersion time depends on the water temperature and the tolerance of the fish. Frogs have a poor tolerance to salt and should be used with caution.
